    Never Disappoints

As a longtime Manhattan restaurant patron and menupages user, I’ve actually never been quite inspired enough to write my own review. But if there ever was an inspiration, Fino’s is it! The food is always delicious, they offer different and impressive specials daily, prices are more than fair for the area, the servers are consistently friendly and accommodating and there is NEVER a wait. In fact, the place is just about empty every time I’ve been there. Which is the motivating factor for my review. I hate lines and crowds more than any New Yorker, but I do fear this little gem in the heart of midtown will surely close its doors one day. So please- ignore the Scarface décor, cheesy formica bar in the entrance and lack of other patrons- this place is worth a try!

    Excellent Food, Excellent Value

On my most recent visit to NYC, We were directed to this restaurant by the kind folks at the front desk of our hotel. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was empty. Empty restaurants on a Saturday night generally scare me, but my beautiful lady wanted italian food and we are not from the area so there really was no alternative. We stepped inside to a well worn, yet cozy, empty restaurant. We had the restaurant to ourselves. The menu has some great options along with specials. I settled on the Polio Casteili, chicken with artichokes and mushrooms in a wine sauce. The beauty beside me ordered Linguini Primavera. Both dishes were better than expected. The potions were also quite large by NYC standards. I am not sure if it was just an off night, but this place should be packed on a Saturday night considering how good the food was. The location is great if you happen to be around the Empire State Building. Give it a try, you won't be dissapointed!

    Great food

This was my first time at Fino and when I walked in I thought the decor was very 1980s Miami Vice (it was really pink). The service was ok, we had two waiters and one was a little pushy, yet the other was ok, neither was very friendly in general. The food and prices were GREAT so I guess thats really all that matters. Also, the street that Fino is on has some great bars as well. I would go back to Fino.

    Grrreat

Diane and I was looking for place to dine and we were lucky enough to find Fino's, tucked in on E 36th street off of 5th Ave.. The food was outstanding... we just loved it. The service was so good, the folks there couldn't do enough for us. It was like we were an old time steady customer, not someone coning here for the first time. We are now sure to return whenever we visit NYC (we now live near Atlantic City) but love to travel to NYC for shows and shopping and dining, I grew up in Astoria, NY.) Thankyou Fino's for a terrific dining experience.

    In need of renovation desperately

The food is good but the place is in dire need of a make over. Even the waiters outfits need replacing. Fix it up and hip it up and you may really have something.

Good food prompt service atmosphere blah

The food was tasty, and the service was a times overbearing so if you are looking for a place to go with an impatient person this is the place to go! The atmosphere could be updated, it seemed outdated and kinda old.

    Should be more famous

People are always asking me for a super-restaurant that's not too far from Penn Station. This is a 10-15 minute walk away. You'd be rewarded with a lovely pink enviroment, real artisan-level italian food, and service that is both friendly and flawless. The veal dishes, and partic. the massive veal chop. The Shrimp Scampi was as good as I've had. All in, a good mix of italian classics with a few well-thought-out modern updates.
