Watch out
Financier is a chain-restaurant that masquerades as a neighborhood place. I've been dragged there (I live 3 blocks away) on several occasions for a late (for me) Sunday breakfast - 10a. When we arrive, it's usually 1/2, 3/4 full, and quiet. However by 10:30, tourists - with babies tend to show up. This place's dining area's not big enough to begin with. The 20 or so small tables are on top of each other, so, you already feel like anyone adjacent to you is with you. When these people with babies show up, it becomes highly unpleasant (so tired of parents who refuse to either teach their kids manners, or don't bring babies EVERYWHERE. I'm not paying to eat with your kids!). The food is neither fresh nor tasty. They do have very good coffee - that's all. If that's all you want - get the coffee to go - grab a bagel next door and go - FAST.Your wallet and peace of mind'll thank you.

Best Coffee!!
The pastries and muffins at this place are excellent, but what truly brings me back for more is the amazing coffee! Flavored coffees - hot and iced, and even the teas, are so good. I'll definitely go here any time I want a truly spectacular cup of coffee.

ok food, pathetic service
my daughter and i went for an evening snack there. the waiter was aloof, inattentive and rude. the food was very average. my daughter wanted a dessert which came 30 mins late even though it was sitting in their display shelf! will never go back, over rated and badly serviced!

The Best French Pastries In My Neighbourhood :)
Mouthwateringly good! However, service at this location is slower, inattentive and sometimes rude... So go there when you have a lil more time on your hands, or simply pack a few goodies away :)

Wonderful break
Great place for afternoon coffee and pastry. Did not enter thru front, but at side. Was greeted and seated promptly. Service was pleasant and attentive. Great cafe au lait, and pastries. Would absolutely pay another visit.

slow and rude but good food
although the actual food is good...it is sooooo slow and the people who worked there are rude. the actual servers are nice but the managers are just nasty and have had nothing but an attitude everytime I am in there!

Best French pastries
I am glad this place has opened in the neighborhood, albeit it doesn't sit well that they don't serve coffee refills....when using a lot of one particular herb/spice in a dish, this should be marked on the menu.
