    Nice regular neighborhood restaurant

This is a great place when I just want to meet friends and I know I'll be able to get a table. The menu is good, with typical American and Italian dishes. Prices are good. Their draft beer selection might be my favorite part. They always have some good ales on tap.

    Liked this place a lot

8 of us were there last night. First of all, how can one reviewer say that the place is overpriced? $9.95 for a Cobb salad, pastas for under $10, a ribeye for $15.95 is overpriced? Where does this person usually eat, White Castle? The food was enjoyed by all. The service was good. Our water glasses were refilled every 5 or 6 minutes without being asked. I will definitely add this place to our repertoire of restaurants we frequent when we are going to a show or are otherwise in that area.

Pretty good food and value with poor service

I live nearby and have gone back a few times. The food is reasonably priced and is quite good. The seasoned fries are excellent! Unfortunately, the service at this place is abysmal. The waitresses and the bartender are pretty much clueless. The last time I went, the bartender was running around like a headless chicken, forcing the waitresses to open bottles of wine and pour drinks themselves. As a result, we were not served water or anything for 15 minutes, at which point we left. I used to put up with the very slow service, but no longer. Just not worth it with so many other good places in the area. Avoid!

    horrible service

Made a reservation with friends for sunday brunch, had a nice time for the first hour, and then the waitress decided that "unlimited drink" meant only two. After getting the manager involved (as in the review below), the waitress then slammed the bill down on the table and snarled "I hope you got good and drunk off me." I assumed this meant we had somehow lost her business by not eating/drinking/vacating our table faster, but she shouldn't worry...we'll never go back again! It's amazing in this economy that bad service still exists...

    second chance...and not returning.

A few years back before the fancy renovation I went for brunch. There were a few issues with service and the manger and I never returned. The current brunch deal plus$10 gets you unlimited alchoholic drinks...well that is, if they aren't busy and your waitress thinks that after 2 drinks you're done and wont bring you another. The manager was helpful and attentive in this matter-but the waitress was a nightmare. Never good to insult your customers BEFORE they leave your tip! Oh well. Its a good deal, but with everyone in the city offering a deal- go elsewhere and be treated well.

    Top notch calamari!

A group of us went here on a Saturday night and shared appetizers of ceviche and fried calamari. The ceviche was okay but the calamari was Delicious!! Piping hot, crispy and not greasy at all. The presentation was very nice too. Concur with the reviews below - generous portions, reasonable prices but so-so service. If it wasn't for the fact that we had each other for distractions, there would have been grumblings about slow service. Atmosphere is typical Manhattan - dark/trendy but the clientele is very "real". One can hear conversations without needing to shout and we were not rushed.
