Don't mind me
This place could be a great midtown lunch spot if the waiters actually did there job. On a recent lunch at Figaro, the waiter came over took our orders and that was the last we saw of him until I flagged him down for a dessert menu and then again for our check. He never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks or how our meal was. I had to personally deliver my credit card to pay the bill or else we would have probably waited and waited for him to return. I noticed that the surrounding tables all had to request their checks, too.

Great midtown find!
I live in midtown on a non-midtown salary and was thrilled to find this place! Great service. Great prices and a nice large area to hang out with friends. So happy to finally have found this place!

My type of place
We first stopped in years ago becuase of a beer special. Little did we know this place was so nice. The atomosphere is perfect. The food is good at a very fair price. A week ago I stopped in and it was just as I expected. Except the staff was even nicer than the first time. If it stays the same I will always go back.

Pleasant time
I am a female traveling alone and I was visiting the area recently so I stopped in to have a bite to eat. Mike, the bartender, was in a conversation with a local customer , however, he attended to my request for a drink and food in a pleasant manner. The food was not cooked as I requested so Mike brought it back and apologized. Being alone I felt comfortable and all in all I had a nice time. I was didappointed in two things though: the floor looked very worn out which does not fit the higher quality of the area and the second thing was that the bathroom on the main floor was very dirty and the garbage was not taken out. I think with some better maintainence of the building and a few repairs this bar/restaurant would be one to come back to on a regular basis.

experts in mediocrity
This place has mastered this insane art of having every single thing on the menu taste the same - bland and boring. Chicken parm, pasta, meatballs, ham and cheese, greek salad...doesn't matter what you order - it all tastes the same (little personal pizzas are a rare exception). And the funny part about it is about 2 years ago they shut it down for months to redo it, and it opened with a few little changes but the same exact food. But for some reason I keep going back to this place, probably because it is convenient for lunch and is cheap. Or I guess I just love mediocrity...

Great Food and a Fun Place
During the last two years I have been dining at Figaros several times a week for many reasons. First, the menu is diverse and the food is a tremendous value when you consider its midtown location. My favorites include the chicken caesar salad, lasagna, sausage and peppers and the chicken pesto special with fresh vegetables. Second, management and the wait staff are friendly and attentive. Third, the kitchen does a masterful job of consistently preparing fresh and delicious food in a short turnaround time. Fourth, they have 4 flat panel TVs and you can always catch the news, ESPN or sports event which adds to the atmosphere. Figaros is simply a top notch restaurant and a fun place to hang out.
