We had a great experience at Felix because of the staff, the atmosphere and the food & drink. Walked in before the dinner crowd and made the right impression on the waitress/hostess. She was fine seating us for drinks as we waited for a 3rd person. After a while we just started ordering and enjoying the night. We slowly tested out the menu: The warm goat cheese salad (highly recommend), the meat plate (good) and others, shrmip cocktail, salmon and a beef tartar..All enjoyable bread kept comming as we asked for it. The server was quite nice and broke into french when my table ordered and spoke in french. She reccommended a good wine and the two desserts we tasted, the choc mousse and the hot apple tart were amazingly good. It was about what I was expecting and the atmoshphere was relaxing and festive. We didn't feel rushed and I'd like to go back and try other menu items. But I'd have the goat cheese salad and the desserts again.

This place can not fulfill the simplest requirement of honoring a reservation and the hostess is the worst I've ever had to deal with. A few weeks ago the day before my reservation (made 2 weeks before) I called to confirm as they did not call me. They said they could not find it and gave me another one 1h earlier. I said fine but the surprise came when they asked us to leave because they had another reservation and did not leave us the choice. We were here to watch a game and could not do so. I just learned that a friend of mine had the same pbm and she even received a confirmation email. The hostess lied on the phone saying she did not have it!! The food was mediocre as was the service so definitely not worth it!

its good location and nice, airy, and bright digs do not make up for the lousy and way-overpriced food. i went there for lunch a few days ago and ordered the steak frites - rare. the cook was either extremely inexperienced or just bad at his/her job, because my steak was cold and grey-brown like it was tossed onto the pan for maybe a minute (she wants it rare, right? can't cook it for too long!). even i know how to cook a steak rare in the inside but still warm and appetizing on the outside. plus, it was too chewy. bad quality meat. the bernaise sauce was pretty flavorless. the fries were fine. my lunch companions (who ordered other dishes) were not impressed either. the staff was a little surly, yes. like we were imposing on him. how dare we come in and order food! poor excuse for a "french" bistro - any self-respecting french bistro can master at least a decent steak frites. SO not worth it.

I came to Felix earlier this year and was able to get seated right away (considering there is usually a wait) and enjoyed my time with guest(Though I hadn't tried the food). I decided to go back this past Sunday and was extremely disappointed with EVERYTHING. I was embarrassed with the service there and had to wait.. despite the fact that there were tables available. They must have changed the management because the girl at the front claimed to be the manager (obviously she hasn't any experience working with people). Better off eating somewhere else and not wasting your money on their poor french cuisine!

This is the second time I go to Felix and despite reading the reviews about the food not being so great I went there anyway. The reviews are right. The food for the price is not great at all. Their steak tartare was not good, the hanger steak was good but not worth the money, their snails were great, that i can say for sure and their chocolate mousse was watered down :(. That really disappointed me. But for the atmosphere it is a great place to go to. The service was decent but definitely over priced for their kind of food.

From the outside the place looked great. A good attempt at a French bistro reflected on to the menu as well. Even the surly service tried to match some of the more pompous French establishments. However, the steak frites was a very poor attempt. Soggy fries with a very average steak. The wine was good. However, be warned Amex or cash only. And if you don't give your tip with your payment (I normally leave it on the table for them to pick up when I leave) you get a forceful hand on your shoulder and a (head?) waiter breathing down your neck while saying "Service wasn't included". I like to think that a tip should be earned not expected. He blew any chances of getting one now. We were half a block down the street when he came out and shouted insults at us down the street. We shall not be returning.
