    Always excellent

I have no idea where all of these bad reviews are coming from. I have dined at Felidia's about five times a year for quite a while now, and have yet to experience any problems with the waitstaff or the food. If you want to go out for spaghetti and meatballs in jeans and a tshirt this is not the place... They abide by the European way of eating, meals are SUPPOSED to take two or more hours at Felidia's. The servers' attitudes probably come from having a table of people who are ill prepared to spend 20+ on an appetizer and expect their meals to be out in five minutes. I highly recommend Felidia's, it is a fantastic restaurant, both in terms of food, ambiance, and waitstaff

    Still the best!

Expensive but worth it -- every dish is outstanding. We eat here every time we go to NYC. Kitchen can be slow when crowded, but waiting for food like this is not something we mind. We give it a good test each time we come since we can't resist any of their courses, and have never been disappointed. And if you want good wine at a reasonable (even inexpensive) price, look to the list of Bastianich wines, which include some great values.

    Great NYC Dinner

I have read a few of the negative reviews on here and I can't imagine these people ate at the same place my wife and I ate at last night. The atmosphere, the service, the food--all fantastic. The service has been mentioned in some of the bad reviews, so I emphasize that the service we had from the moment we walked in the door was fantastic from everyone. We started with the lemon garlic shrimp, then I had tagliatelle with duck, and she had raviolini, and for dinner I had the quail and she had the lamb. My wife is a real "foodie"--and not always easy to please, and we both loved every bite of what we had from beginning to end. We eat at Babbo at least once a year and Gramercy Tavern more than that. Felidia is right there with those restaurants. We will definitely be back. Don't let the negative reviews put you off!

    TooSalty

Everything was good except for the unbelievable amount of salt in the pasta dish.

    Rude Rude Rude Waiter

I dined here last night with three other people and we couldn't believe how rude and arrogant the head waiter was. He made a mistake on our bill and when we pointed it out he got very agitated and asked us what we wanted him to do about it! We (politely) suggested that he fix it and he did but then threw the check on the table. The food was fine, but the service was such a turn off. Would NEVER go back.

    Very disappointed!

My husband and I went to Felidia by accident and were very disappointed! We were trying to go to Becco, but Google listed Felidia's address as Becco's! The staff at Felidia knew about the mistake but dismissed it! We would not have minded but we were treated with such disrespect by the wait staff! The head waiter had a HUGE attitude! We always dine out and have never been treated with such disrespect. The food was just ok for the large price tag. My husband's pasta dish was enough to fill a 6 year old! The restaurant was lacking in the Italian flair that I expected it to have. We will not go again! We are extremely disappointed!

    Subtle Flavors with Big Impact

Amazing fresh pasta. Crudita di Mare and Ravioli con Cacio E Pere were superb. Prices may be hefty, but the food is pretty much worth every penny.
