$6 sandwich, 1 piece of falafel
I have come to Fava probably 15x or so over the past 8 months. I even brought a lunch discussion group and they were blown away by the flavor and the low prices. These first few times the falafel was flavorful, noticeably freshly prepared and delicious. The time before last though, the place smelled like burnt oil and low and behold my falafel tasted greasy and like burnt oil. I went today for what will be my last time and ordered the mediterranen combo pita with falafel, hummus, tabouleh, and one piece of dolma. There was literally ONE piece of falafel in my sandwich. I usually just order falafel and hummus for 4.50 and get a nice pita with 5-6 pieces of falafel. Since I upgraded my sandwich to get a few tbsps of tabouleh and one dolma. I figured I would get my normal falafel and hummus sandwich plus the tabouleh and one dolma. Boy was I wrong. When I brought it to the attention of the server he said that was standard fare. The manager overheard and insisted on giving me two extra pieces of falafel. I appreciate the graciousness of the owner. However the falafel doesn't taste or look as freshley made as before. I won't be back.

Good for a quick bite
Was pleasantly surprised by this place. It's a hole-in-the-wall, a little sketchy-looking from the outside, but the food is good for a quick late-evening take-out bite. Enjoyed the hummus/babaghanoush/tabbouleh combo. Pita bread was fresh. Not sure where the owners are from, but I think they've done a fine job of importing Mediterranean flavors. Excellent choice for the under-$10 (AKA starving student) crowd.

Yucky food
Gross falafel pita. I took 2 bites and threw it out.

Amazing food at an unbeatable price
This place was amazing. I had it for the first time today, and it exceeded my expectations. I had a chicken kebab pita sandwich with falafel and the chicken was juicy and succulent, the falafel absolutely delicious and savory...I could go on and on! I got the extra value meal, adding french fries and a drink for $2, the french fries were perfect and crispy...I'll definitely be coming to this place again and again, as I work in the area.
