    Tasty but tiny...

Lovely dishes, exquisitely prepared and spiced. Decor, though a bit tight when the house is full, is cozy. Those are the "ups". On the downside, the service was sub par and the portions are snack size. I had ordered the crab, and while delicious (and messy), it was simply small. When requesting additional bread to mop the punchy sauce and fill myself the waiter balked. More dough for dough... I left for a burger after my pricey appetizer.

    Way too loud and cramped

Went with a friend to fatty crab last night and what a disappointment. They've stuffed too many tables into a tiny space and blast music so loud you have to shout to be heard. The food was ok, not great. I had the braised short ribs which hadn't cooked long enough and so were so tough. The skate was good as were the noodle and spicy spinach - but nothing to write home about. Save some money and your eardrums and head to chinatown if you're in the mood for good malaysian.

    The Best! and great service

Oh my God! I never had food like this before! I am truly a foodie but never in my wildest dreams thought food could explode with so much flavor and tastes! I was truly blown away especially w/ the duck and of course the Fatty Crab which I made a complete mess of cause I was using my hands. The guy next to me was so jealous of me! Probably he was on a boring date and couldn't get messey like us! I only wish the place was bigger and wish they had a full bar now.

    In a word: Yum!

What a great find! Our waiter was extremely helpful with recommendations and we loved everything he suggested. Spicy, flavorful, filling and affordable ... what more can you ask? Well, maybe a bigger bar area when you have to wait for a table. But it's worth it.

    Excellent eats

Food rocks! Won't even rate service yet (place is been open a month). Excellent value. Authentic with better quality (yeah, I'll pay more for meat I can identify). Atmosphere, in a word - FUN! Yes, the place is tight and loud. Just adds to the energy. Great beers, interesting, thoughtout wine list. Open till 4am on the weekends. I'll be a regular!

    Good food, poor service

Sadly, the inexperience of the waitstaff will keep me from coming back. Food was fantastic, but wasn't good enough to compensate for: 1) waiting for 15 minutes at our table before the crew figured out which waiter was assigned to us (no one seemed to know) 2) entree arriving before starters 3) entree arriving without a serving spoon (spoon came 5 minutes later) 4) waiter asking twice if we had more food coming (answer was yes, but he should have known that) and 5) plates being taken off the table before we had finished eating. The service would perhaps be excusable if they were understaffed, but with 4 waiters servicing 10 or so tables, they should have been able to handle it. Shame, too, since the food was quite lovely.

    Best Meatpacking restaurant...

This place rocks! Everything is perfectly seasoned and and sooo tasty. I like the laid back atmosphere and cozy feel. You might have to wait alittle for a table but, it is well worth it! Zak Palaccio has done it again...anything he puts his hands on turns to gold.
