First time at Fatta Cuckoo
Very nice, small restaurant with friendly and personal service. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Would go back if staying overnight in the area.

Creative food and drinks!
Our son chose Fatta Cuckoo for dinner during our visit to New York and it was a delight! The service was very attentive with the owner coming to our table to check on us and share her art which hangs on the restaurant's walls. Although the menu is small, the flavor of the food is bold and delicious! The specialty drinks are creative and priced very reasonably! Since we were a party of 6, we chose several appetizers and desserts to share and each were a treat and fabulous...especially the homemade cheesecake! Go to Fatta Cuckoo for "Fatta fun food!"

Good food - poor service
The menu is limited but it's very delicious ! And the prices are not bad either. It's a small place with only one waitress - she needed help even if it only held 30 people. Another bad thing if they ran out of a number of things before even 9 pm - being in the lower east side where things get going around 9 they really should consider being better prepared. Food was great tho! If they fixed up the service it would be a 5 star little place!

The chef cares about his customers
There was a confusion on the menu and the chef came out even after I got my food and made sure I was happy. He offered to fix the issue. It turned a disappointing meal into a great experience .

Mixed Reaction
Great staff, great drinks, food was mediocre at best. I feel bad saying it because everyone was so nice and friendly, but of the two appetizers and four entrees we had, nothing was better than average. Also, two suggestions about the atmosphere: Dim the lights a bit at dinner (way too bright) and lose the stools. No one wants to sit down for dinner in a backless seat.

Loved loved loved this place!
The food was amazing and tasted homemade. the actual restaurant was also really cute and small and had about 8 tables but it super lively. The drinks were also very good (and stiff!). Desserts were delicious and made by one of the waitress' mom! Definitely a great find and will definitely be coming back

Terrific
My wife read about this place online and we went for our anniversary dinner. The owner is so nice and friendly - her brother is the chef and even her mom was there. the food was terrific (mac and cheese and pesto fries!!!), atmosphere great and all together, perfect dinner. Highly recommended.
