Lagging in a field where there is a lot of competition.

I was really looking forward to checking out Fatburger but came away disappointed. Pluses The space is really nice, it’s airy and tables aren’t on top of each other. The staff was truly wonderful and I would give them high marks for being very courteous and pleasant. Minuses The food just wasn’t that good, if anything it was disappointing. Fatburger isn’t cheap - a cheeseburger, fries and shake ran $15. The fries definitely had a taste of oil. There is just no way to put it, and the burger just was substandard. It was way too loud. I went in during off hours and the place was fairly empty but the music was turned way, way up. At one point it was actually turned up. I came to eat not dance, any music should be background, nothing more and if someone had been with me we would have had problems hearing each other. Overall, much room for improvement needed.

    needs more time

We went to Fatburger tonight with a group of adults and kids. The counter where you order your food was chaotic. There were people standing around trying to figure out their orders, people standing around waiting for their food, and the music was so loud that I had to shout my order twice. Our order took 20 minutes to arrive, plus it was completely wrong. My friend's burger was burned, and my husband's sandwich was cold. If a place is going to pride itself on made-to-order food, at least get the order right. The manager was apologetic and corrected our order right away. And if you are going to call yourself "kid friendly", please have a kids's menu! We didn't see one but they did have smaller burgers and chicken fingers for the kids. We like the fact that we can take the kids, get a beer and hang out, but get rid of the loud music!
