    Will return!

Very well prepared food, classy atmopshere, servers were very attentive and overall experience was excellent. The warm bread with oil is a complimentary appetizer we had paired with wine. We tried the scallops and the burger-both great. I'm always hesitant to get scallops because they can go so wrong, but I have to say these were nearly perfect. Not to mention the fava beans on a bed of greens it's served on. The burger was delicious as well, so traditional, yet a little bit different with the sharp cheddar and the parmesan fries. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant!

    A mini-Gramercy Tavern in Williamsburg!

I came across Fat Goose last night and decided to try it for dinner. The decor was contemporary yet classic, with dark wood floors and beautiful windows. The folks there were so welcoming, too. I started with the brussel sprouts - lightly sauteed to perfection. I then had the Hake with the pumpkin and mushroom ragout. UNBELIEVABLE! A generous portion of fish with wonderful flavor. I also had the sweet potato strudel on the side and it was amazing. Definitely something different from your typical NYC menu, but still comfort food. I finished the meal with the fruit crumble with chantilly cream - fresh and delicious. The prices were very reasonable - probably half what they would be in Manhattan. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. I encourage everyone to check out this place before it gets impossible to get in. I guarantee that you will be blown away!

    Foodie heaven

I'm writing this review because I had an amazing culinary experience at Fat Goose. My friend and I had the goat cheese crostini, chicken liver bruschetta, oxtail (with an amazing carrot marmalade) and a lentil dish. For as great as the food was, the atmosphere was non pretentious and the service was quite down to earth. I have never written a restaurant review before but am compelled to do so such that this restaurant can stick around ... I don't think I've ever seen it packed and hope more people will discover it ... Well worth it!

    Liked it, nice new place

The restaurant is cute and the menu has a nice variety. We ordered the fish and steak. They were both cooked perfectly I just wish they had more sauce. Otherwise it was a nice dinner, will go back soon. The cocktail menu had some fun drinks I'd like to try next time.
