The best Pizza shop in NYC
For those who love cheese on their pizza as I do this is definately the spot. One slice (for a three slice eater) was enough! I wouldn't advise extra topping unless you are very very hungry if so then go for it. Enjoy.

Decent pizza
I had a slice of pepperoni with small patches of mozzarella cheese. The actual slice was very very cheesy and it was quite greasy. I was very excited to come here as I found out it's the actual original. It's pretty good, but honestly I don't see the big deal. Service was very friendly though, and the atmosphere is nice you can either grab a seat against the wall or just stand at a table. It was only $5 for a medium drink and a pretty darn big slice. If you're in the area, definitely try it, but I wouldn't go out of your way.

Subpar Slice
I have never ever written a review, but my experience compelled me to write one. I happened to walk in with my cousin that was visiting from out of town, and I have to say that it was not a great idea. I ordered a slice of white and he got a slice of cheese and one of pepperoni. Never in my life have I thrown food away while still hungry. There was an amount of cheese that was too thick and oily and wasn't even melted properly. The crust was soggy and too thick for my taste (although the thickness would not inspire a negative review in and of itself). I am not a picky eater at all, but I can honestly say that it was the worst slice of pizza I have ever had.

The Best in all 5 Boroughs.
Famous Rays pizza is by far the greatest slice of pizza I have ever had in my life. I live in the Bronx, right outside of Little Italy, and I can tell you from experience that the Pizza at Famous Rays on 11th St, surpasses any other in the 5 Bouroughs.

Kick Butt Pizza
I am a pizza fanatic and while visiting NYC, Ray's was the pizza out of 4 pizza joints I tried. The dough melted in your mouth. Delicious!

LOVE THE PLACE!
Ray's helped me thru the break between work in midtown and going to the New School at night. I loved the Square pie(great with the onions ) and the regular pie. Always fresh, always hot and the help is always friendly. Not a fancy place, but clean. One of the best slices I have had.

One of the best in the city and I love my pizza. Don't be fooled by the imposters. This is great pizza.
