Not bad at all
Just got the Famous rays special pizza (large), and i must say for the $$ it's worth every penny! Toppings were fresh and tasty, this thing was HUGE for a large. And for two, was more than enough. You'll need one/two more people for this thing. Try it, the delivery was on point too.

i was craving eggplant parm and had never ordered from this restaurant...the eggplant was all cheese and flavorless...the cheese sticks were like something from costco...like frozen from a box. the sauce for dipping and the pasta sauce was like campbells tomato soup...i only had a couple bites of everything

Are You Kidding Me?!?
When I heard about this place on the food channel I thought it had to be the best pizza around. Boy, was I wrong. It had no taste and no sauce! I'm from Wisconsin and I can honestly tell you there are Pizzarias in my hometown that would kick the **** out of this place. Don't bother .......It isn't worth the taxi ride!!!!

they USED to be good...
Long time LES resident, and I am now finished ordering from Ray's for delivery. They jacked up the prices with a new menu, and what was once pretty decent food is now cardboard and tasteless. Plus, lord help you if your phone person speaks broken English, because they will screw up your order, every time, guaranteed. Like the title of this review says, they used to be really good, and I mean that, but this is a NEW Lower East Side/East Village, and the dollar buys very little around here now... and this restaurant has become substandard in every way.

They might get it right 5 out of 10 x
Depending on who the chef is the pizza is either great or it sucks. The last time I ordered (delivery) the cheese was a wierd consistancy; it was runny and disgusting looking. The time before that the cheese was perfect. So its a gamble. Good Luck.

NYC Pizza - 4 star like Jean Georges
It's NYC Pizza -- it commands the highest rating. Who the hell would call NYC pizza generally sub par?Ray's has some great pizza. Go, enjoy, you'll love it.
