Hotel Delivery Approved
Stayed at the 4 Pts Sheraton. Great pie. Delivered within a respectable time frame. Asked for special add ons. All were present. Included plates & napkins...which is so important for in-room hotel dining. Pizza was hot and very well cooked. Very good pizza. If you are looking for a fail-safe delivery option for yourself whether alone or with kids- I would highly recommend this location and I would rate this an above average experience for those intimidated by the whole in room ordering process in New York.

Best Pizza...from a New Yorker
Being from Pizza Central, you know a joint has to be good in order for me to keep returning - after having lots of pizza in the city. Get the plain slice - the best is always the most simple.

Not recommended
Not the worst pizza you have ever had, but definitely not Ray's pizza. I work right in this area and unfortunately, there is not much to eat here. I have gone twice and will never go again. They served me a luke warm sicilian that I am sure was sitting out in the sun for the majority of the day. The second time I went, hoping the first was a fluke, I waited for about 10 minutes while they employees chit chatted with each other. Got another disappointing slice of pizza that was way overpriced.

poor experience
I ordered pizza from Rays and it was a miserable decision. For 2 hours I waited for my food and when I called to inquire, they told me the food had "already been sent/on it's way." After 20 minutes I called back again and they told me that the order was "cancelled. It made no sense why or how they cancelled the order but they did not call me and I waited almost 3 hours and got no food.

Fabulous pizza
The first thing to say about this place is that if you're in town for a short time and want to eat out, Ray's is not the place to go. There is a side counter and a small eating area at the back of the store but we're talking McD's style tables here. However, if you just want take out or feel like eating pizza in your hotel room then this is a great option. I ordered a medium 16" pie with pepperoni and the pizza was the best I have tasted in a very long time. Perfect amount of cheese and topping. Great food, good price.

The best
We travel to NYC annually to catch the Yanks in the summer and then in December to catch Santa at Macy's. Ray's has become part of these annual traditions. The place is okay - hey what do you expect it's a pizza join in NYC. If you are looking for a pizza joint to provide atmosphere that is a big problem. We go to Ray's because we like pizza and theirs is the best we've had.

Oh Yes!
Hi there We were over in NYC for a wedding (staying in the Ameritania Hotel opposite this Rays). We popped into this little gem for a slice and were hooked. The pizza was soooo good. Toppings were generous, sauce was so tasty you could have eaten it with a spoon and the variety of slices on offer were amazing. We were her for lunch and at 3am going home, always great. The staff were courteous and efficient.I recommend Rays Original Pizza at anytime Day or Night. (Now, do they do franchises?)
