    Why all the hype?

I Love getting a great slice of NYC pizza, but I didn't think the pizza matched any of the hype around this place... I felt like I was eating airport food-court pizza. But, it was $5.75 for a slice of the 'Special' and a drink, so not all that bad, but I've had better.

    just get a calzone

from this particular famiglia, just order a calzone with an extra side of sauce. their gravy is great. delivery is ridiculously fast, with friendly telephone service. the place is a little messy, which is why we gave it the low atmosphere rating. high on service because of their delivery. middle on the food because we only get the calzones from here- have found better slices and pies in the area.

    A NYC Classic

This is NYC pizza in its most classic form...it's the perfect New York slice. The smell of fresh pizza lures me in regularly. Just try to avoid it during the 230-4pm after school time...it's packed with rowdy kids.

    Not Bad

I've actually never been in here in the 20+ years of living on the upper west side. I gave it a try and got a plain slice and broccoli slice. The broccoli was pretty decent. Not too heavy on any ingrediant, not messy or sloppy. The plain slice however just slouched over when I picked it up. It has more tomato then anything else and was not crispy at all. I would recommend the broccoli though.

    Not bad, not great

Service was good on the phone, and delivery was super-quick. Unfortunately, the crust was a little underdone and slightly reminiscent of pastry! The sauce was also quite bland and could of used some more seasoning. That said ,the top layer was very good - cheese was good quality and the chicken (only topping ordered) was perfect. Overall, not a bad option, but not stellar.

    20 Plus Years Strong

Have been going to Famiglia faithfully since they opened her back in 1986, and they have been a pizza favorite of mine over the years. Though in the last few years, the pizza doesn't taste las good as it used to. Still, it's good with friendly and quick service, and they deliver when they say they do, if not quicker.
