not good
Even though we are divided on the quality of the pizza at La Famiglia on W 97th Street and Amsterdam I decided to try their lasagna and took some home. Boy was that a mistake!! It was inedible and we threw it out. When I called to complain all I got was lip from the manager. That’s the last time my famiglia will visit this La Famiglia!!

Weak and expensive
$4.50 for a single slice of broccoli & chicken! Yet if my eyes were closed I honestly couldn't tell you what the ingredients were. Just no taste.

1 hr for a medium pizza
After waiting for 45 minutes for a medium pizza! I called and they said the delivery guy had called me...which he didn't. 15 minutes and 4 phone calls later! A cold pizza was delivered. Won't go here again.

Why all the hype?
I Love getting a great slice of NYC pizza, but I didn't think the pizza matched any of the hype around this place... I felt like I was eating airport food-court pizza. But, it was $5.75 for a slice of the 'Special' and a drink, so not all that bad, but I've had better.

just get a calzone
from this particular famiglia, just order a calzone with an extra side of sauce. their gravy is great. delivery is ridiculously fast, with friendly telephone service. the place is a little messy, which is why we gave it the low atmosphere rating. high on service because of their delivery. middle on the food because we only get the calzones from here- have found better slices and pies in the area.

A NYC Classic
This is NYC pizza in its most classic form...it's the perfect New York slice. The smell of fresh pizza lures me in regularly. Just try to avoid it during the 230-4pm after school time...it's packed with rowdy kids.
