    Blows away Lombardi's

For the life of me, I can not ubnderstand why Lombardi's gets such rave reviews...Our company used to order from there frequently, and it always gets soggy in transit. If you want an awesome slice, that you can fold in half without droopage...Ben's is your ticket. I think it is the best in Manhattan. For great Pizza in Brooklyn L&B's can not be beat...

Some of the best pizza in NYC!

The first night I moved into the neighborhood, I had a slice of Ben's and was immediately hooked. It's quite literally some of the best pizza I've ever had. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great slice. Delivery is fairly quick and the prices are pretty standard. I order Ben's at least twice a week!

    Good pizza

A friend from DC came to visit, and we went there. Awesome pizza, one of the best I've had and I've lived in New York all my life. The problem I had is the size of the joint. Nine tables cramped in a space best suited for six, and a bathroom tucked in the corner behind one of the tables, where you would have to wait for a seated customer to get up just to let you through. I'd take another friend from out of town there again, and I would go there myself, if the idea was "Let's get a great slice of real New York pizza." But if we're trying to get a great mood set, you'd probably want to go elsewhere.

    Great Traditional NY Slice

NY is a brilliant traditional NY slice. I grew up in Brooklyn, and this is the closest thing I've found. The crust is both chewy and crispy (especially if they heat it up for you), the sauce is bright with piquant tomato flavor, there is enough cheese, with a good cheese flavor, to give cheese pulls (those strings of cheese that go from your mouth to the pizza) but not so much as to choke you. All, in all, one of my favorite slices in Manhattan. That it is an island of reality in trendy soho is just icing on the cake.

    Delivery can be a pain

So you've got "Famous Ben's" right, and ok, it's good pizza, not the best in NYC but good. The mimimum delivery fee is 10 bucks, so if you're at the office alone on a Saturday you can't get 2 slices and a soda delivered. Thus you have to order 4 slices and a soda then they tell you it's gonna be about 40 minutes...40 MINUTES? I'm only 3 blocks away...I know I know get off you're lazy arse and pick it up yourself right? But that's not the point...the point is, Ben's ought to take some advice from the Chinese restaurants around here, no minimums and speedy delivery is the key!

    The best pizza!

I go to Ben's about once a week. The pizza is wonderful. Cheap and very good. True NY pizza. The guys that work there are super funny. Don't go there if you are looking for some trendy joint. Its just a pizza place! It is good on the run too.
