Gross
I ordered the Falafel Platter, of which its only saving grace was the Falafel itself. The accompanying pitas were basically store bought "pita pockets". The platter also came with a soggy salad, day-old grape leaves (probably more), and a very lackadaisical and slimy babaghanouj. If you want proper Middle Eastern I suggest Zaytoons in Ft. Greene/Carroll Gardens. After you've eaten there, you'll wonder why you've been eating slop "3 times a week."

You've really outdone yourself.
My husband and I get delivery from here about once a month it's one of our "regulars". We always get the same thing: a kefka kabob pita for him falafel deluxe for me. Sometimes we get their signature salad or the red lentil soup all are fantastic. Last night we were feeling crazy and I tried the chicken tawook (whole wheat pita, with hot sauce) and he got the shawarma. The only sound that could be heard in our apartment for the 15 minutes it took to kill those sandwiches were finger licks and various "mm!"s and "oh my god!"s. And I don't mean that in a sexy way. I was actually tempted to call the restaurant back and tell them how great everything was, but people tend to get really confused when you call for no reason but to compliment. So I figured I'd finally give a proper review here. Falafel Chula: you had us at hello.... but now we're obsessed.

I eat here like 3 times a week!
I just have to say that this is my favorite place to get falafel. Actually, I always get the hummous and eggplant pita on wholewheat-stuffed with lettuce, tomato, pickles, cabbage-delicious!!!!!! I bring everyone to this place and then they don't shut up about it. Also, I order the pita and they'll even deliver with no minimum. The delivery guy is super nice too. The food is consistent and I crave it constantly. Give it a try, trust me it's amazing!

One of the best falafel I've ever had
Had the Falafel Deluxe that included falafel, hummus and eggplant. Delicious! It's a small place with only 2 tables and some counter space, nice atmosphere & friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

Great Burgers, Soup, Decent Falafel
Very courteous staff. The burgers are real good and so is the Egyptian red lentil soup. Fast delivery, good value; this is one of the best spots in the neighborhood. My wife did not think the falafel was very good, but maybe just an off day.

No atmosphere, but food compensates
The food and low cost combine to make this place a Brooklyn staple. All food was seen prepared fresh in the restaurant (though they could use a separate, walled-off kitchen). And the value--$7 for a filling, tasty falafel platter--can't be beat. This Chula has done for mediteranean food what their brother Taco Chulo doesn't do for Mexican food--makes it worth coming back! Don't pass this by (it's much better than the place by the Bedford L station)
