Service and Value lacking
Just had dinner with 4 friends this past Sunday arived at 6pm. Server had no idea what the specials were dinner svc started at 5pm. Never came back to advise. One person ordered from the pre fixe menu portion was microscopic. Onion soup was good but that's not saying much. Rib eye ordered was less than half inch thick I've never seen one that thin in my life. Desserts were lacking most were left in tact on the plate server never asked why. Couldn't be bothered. I would say the same for Fada I couldn't be bothered.

Delicious and Atmospheric
Went here with my boyfriend and his family and it was lovely. Great food - get the beet salad!!!! Amazing! Loved the atmosphere and the service was fine.

Inconsistent French
The food is usually very good, but the service is always bad. Forgotten orders, long waits, and disappearing waiters....every time we have eaten there it's something. What redeems this restaurant is the charming atmosphere, and the food that is usually quite good. The brunch is especially good in the outdoor space in nice weather. I always leave feeling like it could have been so much better, if only.....

started off great....,
i went to fada with a friend tonight... evening started off great... starter cheese and meat plate was good.. then the nice atmosphere was ruined by the tv being put on (kind of let them off at it was the presidential debate.. although only person it seemed interested in watching it was the waiter..) our starter was then taken away as we were still finishing it... main course of duck was really dry and over cooked.. though the salad and potatoes were good. im a little dissapointed as i loved the atmosphere ( minus the tv) , i was hoping the food would be as good... im hoping it was just a bad night???

Good food and service
Fada offers a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, while at the same time provides a delicious menu.

best french bistro in williamsburg!
fada, oh fada, i could go on about you for days, waxing nostalgic about your perfect onion soup with molten gruyere, or your plump escargot, or your exquisite mussels, but instead i will talk about the duck cassoulet which made me so happy i went home and dreamt of nothing but love. frites are always hot, crisp and well-seasoned, and i must recommend the perigourdine (sp?) salad that comes with smoked duck breast, gizzards, and foie gras. it's fantastic and hearty. who says you don't win friends with salad? share this and you'll make plenty of new pals. i've fallen in love so many times at fada. sometimes with my date, usually with the food. inexpensive, friendly and cozy! the service can be scattered, and i don't recommend brunch, but dinner is your best bet. you won't be disappointed.

Croque Madness
Living quite close by, this has become my very favorite brunch spots in the neighborhood. Their Croque Madame is absolutely one of the tastiest things I've ever had and it comes with an equally tasty side of fresh mixed greens. Couple that with one of their terrific Bellini's and you've got a perfect Sunday brunch in a very tasteful designed bistro.
