So good. Not a fan of the bland apple martini I'd stick with the wine list. The best Calamari ever. All food choices here are great choices. Feening to get in ... usually a 45 minute wait after 7pm on peak night. I hope they bring back the spinach in the halibut dish I haven't ordered since they changed to wilted greens. This is the place I get taken to when I need some cheering up through my tummy without being too unhealthy.

I really wanted to like this place. Great location, wonderful menu, but the execution on all the dishes we ordered was sorely lacking. The pan-seared striper tasted of over-used, gassy oil- they needed a fresh batch and to tamp a bit off the skin. The accompanying cauliflower puree was practically non-existent (maybe two tablespoons?) and the brussels sprouts were scant and WAY undercooked. A fettucine-made-vegetarian w/o the duck confit was tasty enough, but mostly because creamy, cheesy noodles just taste good. Unextraordinary. Lobster raviioli, as an entree, were undersalted and sort of meager in quantity... five for a dinner (although given the price, perhaps it was more a "primo" than a "secondo"). Tough to know what you're ordering in terms of portion size... all were rather diminuitive. Dessert was fine; ubiquitous molten chocolate cake, but I wasn't the deciding factor there. Service was pretty unattentive, but the place was packed to the gills, so either they should hire more servers or cut down the number of tables. Overall, pretty underwhelming, but not terrible. "Wants for improvement".

been 3 times. First, just stumbled upon it while out shopping with friends. Second time, late night after concert with teenagers. Always a pleasant experience. No hassles. Lovely food. Warm, cozy spot any time of year.

I went there last night and enjoyed everything immensely...from the service to the food to the wine...all was absolutely fantastic. i will definitely be going back and would highly recommend it to others. i am thankful to my friend who told me about it...

First of all, is there a better location? Picture the perfect little mediterranean influenced restaurant on tree lined w.4th with the perfect sidewalk seating. The brunch is simple and superb, the fish for dinner flavoreful with the perfect touch of artistry..... but who cares if it's the 21 club when you can't beat the location and the crowd.

Have been here 3 times in the last year. My wife only eats fish and there is a great selection here. Very well c\prpared as well. Nice vibe, nice lighting, pleasant wait staff. This is why we live and eat in the west village.

Extra Virgin is exactly what the West Village needed - a restaurant that serves very good food at a decent price. (it's cheaper than the mermaid inn). A lot of restaurant workers come here after their shift which means the food is worth traveling for! The parmesan Artichoke appetizer is fantastic!
