    great find

I haven't been to the Village in a long time, but since we were in the area my partner and I tried this restaurant, because it got some good reviews. We were not in the least bit disappointed. Outstanding food and unlike some reviews here, we found the service to be attentive and good. Maybe cause we ate early. Anyway we would highly recommend the place. The chef is really talented.

    Great food

Great food throughout the years. Really cute date spot. Service could be better but the food is self explanatory so no worries.

    Delicious!

The hostess and waiting staff give off these attitudes that make you want to leave. But the food makes up for their attitudes. We had a wonderful meal n a wonderful time amongst ourselves despite the "tudes" - would definitely go back. Hopefully it will be to friendlier faces :-p

    Nothing special

Small place not small prices. Kind of pricy considering the size of the portions. Food was OK but nothing special. Very cramped and noisy. My table had trouble talking to each other. I had a hangar steak. Others had the mushroom crusted chicken. Two small pieces of chicken was all you got. Certainly not worth going out of you way. But I least I got a parking spot.

    Wonderful Dinner!

This is a very comfy, warm restaurant with very attentive service and great food! The menu is quite creative and the portions are just right. Definitely recommend.

food is poor, skip this place

We live a few blocks away and have always seen this place crowded and have heard good things from friends who dined here years ago. We weren't sure if it, like many other places in the hood now, was just a scene or actually still served decent food. So, we decided to try it on a whim and were grossly disappointed. Unlike others, we found the service okay, but the food ranged from mediocre to horrible. We decided to share several apps and skip the fish/meat entrees (chilean sea bass, really?) The extra virgin salad and fritto misto were halfway decent (arugula, cucumber and avocado were fresh and nicely dressed. the fritto misto was hot and crisp). Sadly, the other items we ordered were actually borderline inedible. The crab cakes had no taste whatsoever, were horribly overcooked (their exterior was a crispy dark brown), and the sauces that came with them resembled baby food in both taste and texture. The scallops were gummy, the bacon wrapping them was rubbery, and the potato latke under them was a lead bomb. Both of these dishes actually made me think of something one would feed a pet, and not necessarily their own pet. The truffled mac and cheese tart lacked any composition- it was as if someone took kraft microwaved mac 'n cheese, sprinkled truffles on it and then stuck a pastry in. Overall, the food was a failure. With so many better restaurants in the neighborhood it is perplexing why so many people dine here night after night. It is a sad testament to the neighborhood.
