Excellent Dumpling House

This place is nuts... obviously dont get anything crazy like the duck etc... but there are some real gems! Try the steamed chicken with broccoli, the dumplings are a joke, and the fried wontons are tasty.

I crave the food from this place. Must haves: pork dumplings, scallion pancakes, and hot and sour soup. Haven't had better of any of those 3 things anywhere in the city...

The dumplings are good but not extraordinary. I go there as often as I can for the fish and sour cabbage which, despite its unappetizing name, is so good I make special trips to Chinatown for it. The Shanghai lo mein and scallion pancakes are top notch too.

Thanks to the previous reviewer for recommending the shau lon pau. They are great, pork dumplings I think, and really delicious with some ginger on top. The other things that I ordered (hot and sour soup, chicken fried rice) were less inspiring and are pretty boring, but the dumplings are delicious.

like the title says, their steamed shau lon pau is really tasty. my roommate and i order it all the time. we have a big ol loft and when having large numbers of people over we will order a dozen or so orders and everyone loves them. unfortunately.... you have a 50/50 chance of getting them. there is one woman who is good the other gets our address wrong every.single.time. if they woman on the phone has trouble with the languare do not order, you won't get it.

I hit this super-bargain small restaurant at least once a week. Pork dumplings are great and their soups terrific and very filling. Try the Korean beef noodle soup. Gets very crowded. Court officers send many jurors there and the cops know this place for its value, fast service and, well, excellent dumplings.
