We recently met some friends for dinner on a weeknight. Very few tables were filled, yet our waiter completely ignored my husband and I fiord over 15 minutes. One menu for both of us, no dishes or utensils until another 10 minutes had passed. Finally get our food, waiter slaps the dishes on the lazy susan and runs away, still no water. we get our tea, but no water. Food was OK, but the lack of decent service prompted my usually genouous husband to give a 10% tip.

ordered the sweet and sour chicken, chicken was super fatty-all dark meat pieces coated in batter that was soggy and not crispy at all and super greasy. waste of money

I went here yesterday for take out during my lunch hour and was pleasantly surprised, especially since reading the previous reviews. I ordered the general tso's chicken and the food was a lot. I had enough for left overs as I definitely couldn' eat all of it. It's like any other typical chinese restaurant; the food wasn't bad at all. I would go here again especially since my order didn't take long.

When you order dim sum, the service is great! I don't know about the rest of the food, but my family and friends go there all the time. We're a big group of about 11 kids and and 10 adults, and they always have room for us. Kind waiters too.

I have come to love this place. We've ordered maybe 6 times so far. Reasons: the lunch specials are OUTSTANDING. Dishes like squid w chinese vegetables and shrimp w chinese vegetables led us to try the same kind of things in the evening. The key: this place knows how to lightly saute dishes--in garlic or ginger or whatever you ask for--while every other Chinese resto in NY makes the sauce overpowering or sweet or gloppy or whatever. Here things taste fresh and lightly sauteed, so the flavor comes out and you don't kill your diet.. As you might expect, the best appetizers here are all the steamed dim sum (not the fried ones; fried dumplings were only weak link here). But that gives you a lot of choice. I also recommend just calling and asking for what you want. Finally, I love that they always have fresh choy sum on hand and will make any dish with it. Oh, yeah, the low-mein is also great.

I had forgotten about this place (service was slow which is really bad when you;re on alunch break)and finally went back there today... and I would totally go there again!! Their lunch specials are well priced for Manhattan. I got the hot and sour soup (yum!), kung pow chicken (also yum!) and the scallion pancakes (really really yum - crispy and so good!!!). The waiters were very attentive, taking away empty plates and filling our water. I feel like the quality has improved!
