Too busy to care
Sat at our table for a long time and no one came. People next to us were waiting 20 mins for their check. Could not get anyones attention. Place was loud and crowded. Walked out and went next door and right away got service. You do not need to wait ages for your waiter.

A great go to place in the neighborhood
Ethos is a great go to place to eat when you're hungry and don't want to think to hard about where to go. The food is delicious, the menu is great. As a vegetarian I feel like there is more to eat than just a salad. It's not cheap but you get tons of food. I usually end up taking home and getting a second meal. The service is outstanding. Keep this place on your restaurant speed-dial.

Great Experience
I really enjoyed eating here. I had never eaten here before, and the waiter was very helpful and patient in explaining dishes to me. I had the red snapper, which was really good. The tzaziki sauce was great too.

Pleasantly surpirsed
Food is fresh and so tasty... unlike previous reviewers, we had very attentive, friendly service. Smallish portions can make bill add up quickly, but overall really nice experience. Complimentary dessert an unexpected, delicious & fattening surprise.

very happy with ETHOS
We've lived in the neighborhood for years but only ate there once before. Decided to try it again last night for our anniversary dinner. The other reviews were so-so but it is always full so we wanted to see how it was. Overall the meal and service were excellent. We got there at 7:30 pm and by the time we left, there were people waiting to get it. The place was packed and a little noisy. Everyone was enjoying themselves, laughing and talking and eating. The service was great--refilled our water glasses and wine glasses right away, the food arrived steaming hot, the waiter quickly removed empty plates. The food was very good and seasoned really well. We had the grilled octopus app which was so tender and fresh. I had the moussaka--very good and a huge portion. He had the whole grilled fish, also very fresh and delicious. They were giving all the diners complementary dessert last night--a very yummy custard-filled pastry. Overall we enjoyed the meal and the restaurant and we will definitely go back again.

Good
This isn't the best Greek restaurant I've been to in NY, but it is good . The charcoal grilled chicken was very good, simple but flavorful. The shrimp garides saganaki was also tasty. They were out of several appetitzers the day we ate there which was disappointing, but everything we had was quite good. Worth a try if you're in the neighborhood.
