Actually, I believe that most people already know not to go here for brunch, since it was fairly empty on a sunday at prime brunch time. But the tables in the open window were so inviting. The grilled fennel salad was overpriced for an underwhelming, fairly basic salad. The burger was bland. They forgot the appetizer we ordered, so I can't comment on a third dish. I have been here for dinner in the past, and enjoyed the food and ambiance, but never again for brunch.

My party arrived on the earlier side when the restaurant was relatively empty. An hour later, we still had not gotten our orders, yet the patrons on each side of us arrived afterwards, ordered after, received their food and finished their meals. The waitress was nowhere to be found. When the food finally came out, my $24 shrimp dish had only 4 shrimps on the plate and the feta cheese had melted into the sauce, a sure sign it sat on a warming plate for too long. The food wasn't terrible, but they use the word "fresh" very liberally. The string beans were clearly canned, the rice and vegetables tasted like a pre-made mix. They attempted to make up for their lapses with a complimentary dessert - two soggy pastries and some kind of pudding that was so sweet one bite was all I could eat. Overall, below average food for a high price and poor service.

Go to get good, not great, Greek food at a reasonable price...grilled octopus and whole fish, the best. Greek salad needs work. Complementary dessert at the end, very nice touch. service is on the slow side, but wait staff very friendly. Overall good Greek food for the $.

Noise level was cacophonous..with disco music blaring. Food came in piecemeal. We ordered full portions but they gave it to us in increments so we decided we didn't want anymore...waitress neglected to tell us she was charging us for it..the manager told her to and wouldn't take it off the bill. We at least would have taken it home if we knew we were paying for it. Better Greek food elsewhere....Never again for me

Had dinner at Ethos with my other ½ and her friends. I was totally unimpressed, underwhelmed and unhappy with my meal. For the life of me, I can’t understand how this joint scored so well on Menupages. My starter was the basic Greek salad, a staple at Greek diners and Greek restaurants far and wide. For $11, they served me a salad that included bitter lettuce, anemic tomatoes and a mere snippet of feta. It didn’t even have decent traditional dressing. Any run-of-the-mill diner in Jersey could have done better, and at a lower price, too. My main was a lamb dish. The lamb was served on the bone in a tomato-based sauce. Admittedly, lamb often is fatty and a bone is a bone, but this portion was primarily fat and bones. The sauce was a spiced, ketchup-ey sauce. Not my cup of tea. The roasted potatoes were a soggy and mushy lot. That is inexcusable at a Greek place. The complimentary dessert was a nice touch that seems quite common at Greek eateries in NYC. Service was mediocre – the busboys were more attentive than the waitress. Of course, with a party of 6, her 18% tip was assured by mgmt tacking it onto the check, so why pay attention to us? Final judgment: Ethos doesn’t live up to its MenuPgs Mythos.

I ordered the delivery from this place on a slow Tuesday night. The guy said it would be 20-30 mins and probably less (I live 5 blocks away). After an hour, my food arrives completely cold. The portions were tiny and they definitely way overcharged for everything there. Grilled calamary was just that - one squid. I've never seen anything like it. Def not worth 12 dollars. When we called to tell them the food was late and cold, the guy was argumentative and not helpful at all. If you're into overpaying forpoor food with small portions and waiting forever for it, then this place is for you. Otherwise, there are a ton of other better options in the neighborhood. Never going here or ordering from them again.

Had a great dinner here tonight, loved everything we ordered. The sausage appetizer and saganaki were great- melted in your mouth and wouldnt have changed a thing about them. The lamb kabobs were cooked perfectly, tender and soft. Service was great, very friendly. Would really recommend it.
