The gigantes are fantastic. They were friendly. They open up the front which is nice in summertime. They give free delicious desserts at the end

Its been awhile since we dined there and last night we decided to give it a try. Seeing the restaurant almost empty on a Saturday night when we arrived was the first red flag. usually it is packed and people waiting for seats. We were very surprised to find a very different hummus recipe which we thought was subpar. The greek salad was good - fresh and tasty. clay pot lamb was okay. Service was very good though. It is still a good neighborhood spot.

I am actually shocked by the poor reviews. I've been ordering takeout and coming here for lunch for the past couple of years, and not only are the Greek dishes on the menu delicious, they are fairly authentic. I truly don't think you find better in Astoria. They have a wide variety of orektia (appetizers) for sharing. As far as mains, we've had the arni, the souvlaki, the moussaka, and the plikia, and my favorite, the talassina fish skewers. I thought the soup was pretty good compared to my grandmothers. Yes, it can be a little loud, in the summer, the trucks are annoying when they open the walls to the street. But the food is amazing. Give it a try.

the soup was so-so, the chicken was rubbery at best and gristly and it was so noisy.

I've been to here many times and I absolutely love it. Great atmosphere and service, and even better food. Don't understand the negative reviews, I've always had such a good experience. I'm Greek and pretty picky about Greek food and I think their food is excellent! Outside of a couple of places in Astoria, this is definitely my favorite Greek place.

I love Greek food, but rarely do i go anywhere and say i would never go back. We heard good things but the service was poor. The entrees were subpar and the appetizers tiny and not that good. The Sangria was made with 2 buck chuck. I'm surprised they are open.

Actually, I believe that most people already know not to go here for brunch, since it was fairly empty on a sunday at prime brunch time. But the tables in the open window were so inviting. The grilled fennel salad was overpriced for an underwhelming, fairly basic salad. The burger was bland. They forgot the appetizer we ordered, so I can't comment on a third dish. I have been here for dinner in the past, and enjoyed the food and ambiance, but never again for brunch.
