    Mykonos Revisited

Beautiful interior, delicious, authentic Greek Cuisine and delightful conversation at the bar. This is the BEST Greek restaurant in New York City. I read some other reviews here and had to laugh. These folks who were unhappy must have been at another establishment because there is NOTHING in their reviews that resembles what I have experienced over and over again.

    Not Recommended

We had dinner the other night, our first time. The service was quite slow, waiting an hour for our main course. I looked at the next table and the side order of asparagus was five skinny, skinny asparagus on the plate. A joke. The lambchops were small and greasy and certainly not enough to eat. The bread and dip were tasteless and nobody was helpful or interested in pleasing us in any way. I will never go back.

    Don't even think about it.

NEVER AGAIN. I used to be a neighborhood regular because the food was decent even though expensive. However, after the third time of obscenely poor service I can never go back -- and I told the manager this (who, might I add is entirely useless). Picture your party ordering dinner and 25 minutes later the waiter comes out with everyone's food but tells you with a dumb smile that they are out of your main dish and is that okay? Seriously? This had happened before with side dishes - them not telling us until all our other food was on the table - but no main dish? It is comically poor service. They don't care about their customers, and I wouldn't ever give them my business again.

    Slow delivery

Waited 2 hours for delivery. Called twice to find out where it was. Turned out they had written down the wrong street number. Didn't even bother to call once they went to the wrong address. Disappointing. They delivered the food cold. No discount, no apology. I won't order from them again.

The lamb chops looked like the dog ate them

Beautiful restaurant, terrific service, wonderful, friendly staff....but stay away from the lamb chops....it looks like the dog ate the bone!

Nice Greek Restaurant in the Eastside

I went twice to this place at lunch hour with co-workers and we all enjoyed a lot the quality of the food, ambiance and service and prefix price is great. No complaints and we'll return to this nice Greek restaurant soon.

    cramped & loud

This place used (including its former incarnation) used to be pleasant and comfortable. No more. They seem to have added tables so that it's uncomfortably cramped, ruining the previously light & airy feel. Perhaps this is what has raised the noise level to a point where it's impossible to carry on a conversation without raising your voice. Waiting 20 minutes past our reservation time didn't put is in a great mood, particularly since none of the staff offered an encouraging word while we stood around near the door. While our party differed on the food, my langoustines (what little meat there was) were mushy -- nearly inedible. As to service, our waitress asked if anyone wanted coffee or tea, then walked away without waiting for an answer. A couple of minutes later, she gave us the bill. Occasional lapses like this can be forgiven, but not if they have to shoehorn you into a cacophanous atmosphere.
