When we went to place our order, the guy did not wait to take the complete order. Then messed up the order. The second guy also messed up the remaining order and yells at me for us not ordering together. The rudest service I have ever experienced with a staff that couldn't care less about their customers. The bagels were below average with toppings that were obviously not fresh. Will never go back!

I called in around 3pm today fresh waking up from 4 days of hibernation after the Miami Music Festival and the guy taking deliveries is great- let me order just 1 bagel and listened to a few war stories, all in all- ill go over there and give him a hug later. Good bagel too (esp comin back from FL).

If you are hungry in the mornings like me, Ess-a-Bagel will be able to keep you full because their bagels and toppings are the biggest in the city! I go for their eggs-lox-onion or tofu toppings and avoid the fruity cream cheeses (because standards have slipped) on whatever bagel I feel like having and my big breakfast is complete with a hot cup of coffee :)

The food is certainly good, but to me it doesn't seem worth it if you have to deal with the rude people that work there. I have heard that the people who work there were rude, but after I experienced it first hand I have made the decision to never go back there. There is no reason to be yelled at when ordering a bagel...

Ess-a-Bagel is a large operation with one of the most impressive displays of cream cheeses, appetizing and bagels in the city. A few of their counter staff are famous for their snarky comments but this "New York attitude" is better appreciated by tourists than locals returning for the umpteenth time. Management has a history of charging extra for items you would assume were included (another sign of a tourist trap), but thanks to ridicule from the internet they've been changing. I recently saw a sign proudly proclaiming that cream cheese is now included in the cost of a bagel with nova. Their bagels are very large, medium dense/soft and loaded with toppings. Many consider them to be among the best in the city but I'd rather give my business to some of the smaller shops in the area.

This place is my morning life saver! Best bagels and bagel sandwiches!!! I have done take out and delivery, I work nearby so they are always pretty quick. The service is great, be polite and they will treat you great, just like anywhere else. I once left my car mug there and they held on to it and brought it to me the next day when I didn't even order anything b/c I got stuck working late and couldn't pick it up. They are the BEST!!!

Once you have had an Essa Bagel you will come to the obvious conclusion- they are the best hands down in this town ! I've had other bagels at so called "specialty" or "gourmet" bagel eateries and found that to choose other than Essa Bagel was a dire mistake ! I love bagels and I have tried places uptown that have a closer location to me and they could not compete with Essa Bagel. Yes, Essa Bagel can get very crowded but after eating there you'll understand why ! The bagels have the same quality of taste since I've been eating there in 1994. And the cream cheese selection is well made, delicious and without peer ! If you truly love bagels you will not be unhappy if you choose the best bagel eatery in the city !
