Good food and atmosphere
The food is always excellent - especially the talapia francese and the shrimp parmigian - and whether I'm alone or with friends the atmosphere is always pleasant and restful after a busy day.

Outstanding!!
Francesca is a genius. I eat here several times a week and have been amazed at the freshness and selection. Always a smile and a great warm welcome. not to mention the food......

Neighborhood gem
I love this place. The food is traditional Italian (with a few new dishes), and is extremely well-prepared and delicious. Really good food for the price. Additionally, the service is fantastic. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great neighborhood Italian place!
My mom is so picky about Italian food and this had some very traditional as well as some new style dishes. Great pasta dishes and the service was excellent. We were able to sit and relax and didn't feel rushed out the door. Owner very friendly and proud the place. A very comfortable place to eat.

Adequate but not at all exceptional
Rainy night. Restaurant open but no clients and unprepared staff. My food (raviloi con suga Bolognesi) was OK but not exceptional. Ravioli was clearly made from egg -roll skins as opposed to real pasta dough. Wifes pasta was a fettucine that was quite good with a pureed pea-spnach condimento. Dessert was a wonderful tartufo rfeminiscent of Piazza Navonna. An OK place but not outstanding. Would go there again but there are better places in the area.

Great neighborhood place.
We went here late Thursday night for dinner. They have a huge menu. I'm always looking for gnocchi and their's is great. The place is small, but the service is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. They also have their own bakery with amazing desserts.

Great food!
Delicious food (and we got delivery)! The carrot cake was great. The best Italian I've had on the Upper East side. I will definitely order from Espresso's Cafe again.
