I had a delicious meal here!
My boyfriend and I came here and we had a really great dinner and the service was swell. The food was pretty cheap, compared to other French places I'd been too. We left here feeling very satisfied and very full. He had a burger which was really yummy, even the fries tasted better than most others I'd tried. I had the mussels in wine sauce and I couldn't believe I was served a large pot completely filled with delectable seafood. Everything down to the bread was delicious. I'd definitely return here.

Bland food, subpar service, skip the food and go to the bar
First of all, the waiter was clumsy and knocked my girlfriend in the head and spilled wine on her back. We had to ask for the specials rather than the waiter offer to list them - which was a mistake in itself. The pinot noir the server recommended tasted like it had been sitting out for one day. The app, the Goat Cheese Tempura, was mainly filler - perhaps 95% mashed potatoes. Not much goat cheese to be had. We ordered the special (filet mignon) and the veggie risotto. Both of the entrees turned out to be very bland with the exception of the rosemary branches. Had the chef not put rosemary branches on everything, there literally would have been no taste in the meal. Bottom line this place is great for music and drinks (in the bar room), but save your money and skip the service and food. For us it was $80 wasted.

excellent value, poor serive
The service was poor - the busboy spilled on my shoes twice and the waiter was very slow. That said, the food was pretty decent and for the price it's a great value.

Cold food, slow service.
If you like your food cold, slow, and an atmosphere too dark to see the food you are served, than this place is for you! I was served the steak tartare, which was fine. But our guacamole was subpar and flavorless, and my friend's Chicken Paillard was cold and overcooked. The service was slow and unresponsive, and it was so dark in there it was difficult to engage with company. This was the second time I've dined at this place and I won't be going back.

"poor service" would be a understatement
The atmosphere is fine and our food was o.k., but the service was beyond poor. After dining, we waited almost an hour, for our waiter to return. I decided to talk to the manager. That's when our waiter sprung into action and rushed over to find out what he could do for us. Too late. The apology and the two free drinks didn't take the sting out of it.

A Find - My Fave Bistro in NYC
Walked by and decided to try this place for dinner on a busy Friday night around 9pm. The host kindly held a table for four while I found the rest of my party at a nearby bar. Everything was very good. Simple bistro food done perfectly. I had what I think is is the best hamburger in NYC especially for $7.95, - served on a fresh beautiful brioche roll, about 1/2 pound, cooked to order,, with excellent fries and a small side salad. Outstanding. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Dessert!
I have been here twice. I had the steak once, and a beef stew the other time, I think. My friends also liked their meals. The desserts, however, are my favorite! The chocolate cake, hot in the inside, mixed with the cold vanilla ice cream, wonderful! The wine is also good. They bring water in a thick blue glass bottle which is nice-that way you don't run out too quickly. The atmosphere is fun, the crowd is laid back. I have been to Paris a few times and it does make me feel like I am back there having dinner in the Marais.
