totally solid for a neighborhood place
I'm from Queens, so I know NY pizza, and Enzo's is completely solid. It's your standard NY, non-tourist pizza - crispy crust, non-sweet sauce and good cheese. The owner's a little nutty, but he's harmless and nice enough. It's not worth traveling to get Enzo's, but if you're in the neighborhood it's solid and better than Ray's on Astor Place. My one problem is that there are no regular hours - Enzo closes when Enzo wants to. He's usually open until at least 7pm, though.

say it aint so, enzo
this is our local around-the-corner spot for pizza. the owner is surly at best, but they usually have fresh delicious pies ready for mass consumption. unfortunately, the "lunch special" - 2 slices and a drink for $4 was recently jacked up to $5. still a good deal, but a pretty substantial price increase, and by no means a recession special. the classic rock blaring over the speakers and the helpful hombres that work the kitchen almost make up for the school kids and locals that overrun the joint. altogether, good pizza at a reasonable price. eat it there, as the delivery is slow and substantially decreases the quality. also, RARELY open on sundays and closes early during the week, which makes it useless for any half-drunk-need-a-slice purposes.

It's all about the bruschetta pizza!
The bruschetta pizza is to die for... I've never been let down by Enz's, easily one of the best pizza places in the city.

Good food at a reasonable price
First off, I do not recommend the pizza. It is nothing special and you can find better at numerous other locations in the area. That being said, the other offerings are consistently good. Pasta dishes are usually delicious, as are the heros. The service is good although the atmosphere is nothing special. I have happily ordered take-out since the place opened. Serving sizes vary from small (the eggplant parm hero) to huge (baked ziti dishes).

A dance club?
My boyfriend and I went to Enzos because of the good reviews it received here. I got a margherita slice, and he got a chicken slice. Neither were remarkable, and the slices were both greasy. The worst part, though, was the place was blasting house/dance music loudly, at like 6 or 7pm. It was overwhelmingly loud, like a dance club, which seemed completely out of place. We had to sit outside and eat our slices to get away from the noise. Will not return.

Enzo's
Great food all around. Owner took care of us and showed us the fresh ingredients that he purchases daily. Sausage Roll was phenominal.
