    Is it worth it if...

    the service is horrible? The food is great. Much better than similar places (i.e. PUMP), however, the people who take your order - one guy in particular and I will be finding out the name - is just really abrasive and rude. I'm usually a patient person and things like that do not get me going, but without fail, this same person takes my order on the days I order, and this same person just sets such a bad tone that it makes me wonder if it is worth it.

    Sham

    The food at energy kitchen is very respectable and seems to be rather healthy. The problem is that, per their ads, I was expecting a substitute good for fast food and this place is not even close to being in the same price range. $8 wraps $11 salads? This place is a sham in that it poses as a cheap, fast food locale with healthy options when really it's just like any other wrap/health food spot in the city.

    Healthy=Tasteless

    Stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner and ordered one of their entree chicken breast selections with 2 sides., vegetarian chili and salad. It was so utterly devoid of any taste I spoke to the short order Mexican cook in Spanish to inquire why. Mexico a country where all the food bursts with flavour the cook informed me the patrones insist it be cooked that way. You have to wonder since when is healthy to be equated to tasteless? Even the salad while very fresh was tasteless. You have to be a genius to make vegetarian chili taste like cardboard but these guys did it. As for the chicken breasts, in fact is was 1 very small one cut in 2 with not a drop of salt, pepper or spice. I practically had to drown everything in Tabasco sauce to get a smidgen of taste. Oh and in a totally empty restaurant at 4:30PM it took them 35 minutes to prepare this feast.

    Great healthy fast food, bad new website

    We order from EK all the time. It's a staple in our lunches when we are super busy and don't have the time to make lunches or really think about it. It's fast, healthy and tasty. BUT, and it's a big but, their new website re-design sucks so much. I do like the rebranding but the functionality of the site leads to many more errors when you are in a rush. I've ordered 2 meals before and only gotten one because I missed a button on the page. That did not sit well with me on an empty stomach! They also changed their menu slightly with the re-branding. It's lost a little taste which is too bad. Their popular "Lean Joe" has been revamped to the "Kitchen Wrap" which is now made with ground turkey (and tastes like cardboard). I just order this and make a note to replace the turkey with chicken breast, then it's decent again. But it's annoying to have to say that every time, I've forgotten to do it and it comes to me as cardboard, ugh. But overall, I will continue to oder from them, I just really hope they get the message that they need to fix their site and a few menu items!

    Healthy and Delicious I'm addicted

    Energy Kitchen is absolutely amazing. Everything that I have had is great but my favorite is the Tai Chicken Wrap, it’s absolutely delicious. What I like about Energy Kitchen is that it's fast, healthy and very flavorful. I also feel really full after I eat there. Other restaurants have tried to do the healthy food thing and cannot even compare to Energy Kitchen, their food is bland, slow to prepare and overall unappealing. Energy Kitchen is also well worth the money for what you get. It costs just as much to eat at other fast food chains and your portions are half the size and 5 times the fat, carbs and calories. Plus Energy Kitchen’s food tastes just as good if not better. Ordering to my office has also always been fast and the food is always hot and fresh. I wish I owned an Energy Kitchen; every time I’m there, it’s packed.

    Vicious Circle of hit and miss...

    Let me start out by saying that overall I like eating food from Energy Kitchen. However, my main gripes with the place are the following: The burgers are good but the wraps are always soggy, and sometimes overfilled. So much so that you can't pick them up to eat them. The shakes are always a pick-me-up at work and are a good size. I haven't ventured into their entrees as everytime I've ordered anything besides a sandwich it turns into a weary experience.

    Great!

    This is a great place for breakfast and lunch. With all of the dining options in this part of Chelsea, this is the only one that makes authentic healthy food at great prices. I am someone who takes great strides to maintain a healthy lifestyle and the Energy Kitchen helps by being my neighborhood breakfast and lunch choice.
