    Not recommended

    I keep kicking myself in the rear with this place, I swear that I will never go back, then I do, just for convenience. This is the third time they forgot my order, I live across the Street and it has been 50 minutes, for a simple hamburger. When I called, they put me on hold for at least 5 minutes, then said my order will be there in 5 minutes. I said cancel my order and commented that I will never go back again, the reply..... OK, is there anything else? This place is overpriced and the food is average anyway. Don't waste your time.

    Multiple disappointing experiences

    I usually give the benefit of the doubt, but this place deserves what I am about to say. The 1st time, the delivery guy tried to get me to give him more than the amount of my bill and he said he did not have the bill with him. When I said I would not pay unless he produced a bill, he reached in his pocket and pulled out my bill, which was for $1.40 less that what he was asking me for. I decided to stop ordering from Energy Kitchen as a result of their rogue practices. Well, I gave it another shot today, the food, came, but they did not deliver the brownie that I asked for, I called, they said they would bring it over ( I live 1 block away), 1 hour later, I called and asked where it was, they said they were baking them, 1 hour later, still no brownie.... I quit, I am done with this place.

    Delivery is very slow. The food is okay for what it is: clean, simple and low cal. I do wonder how they manage to make potatoes with a distinct latex texture.

    Not recommended

    I live in the neighborhood and have found myself banning this establishment on multiple occasions. I moved here from The Theater District where I used to order from The Hells Kitchen Energy Kitchen, that was a top notch fast food restaurant. This location puts me on hold for 3 or 4 minutes almost every time I call to place an order, when you go there to pick up, you are greeted with poor service, they are not nice nor are they friendly, they treat you like they are doing you a favor. The last time I banned them, it was because the delivery guy showed up to my door and asked for $2.00 more than my bill, when I asked to see the check, he said he did not have it, so I said I was not paying without seeing the bill. He then had a recall of memory and dug into his pocket to magically produce my receipt.... guess what? It was $2.00 less than what he was asking for. Make sure if you are paying cash, keep your eyes out. As a small business owner in Manhattan, I give this place 2 thumbs down, the only reason I end up going back is simply supply and demand, there are no similar alternatives in the neighborhood. Food is sub-par and service is poor.

    Very Poor Phone Cust.svce/counter help

    I ordered from this place today and I was very disappointed at the girl who took my order: (after reading other reviews I see EK has a real problem getting decent people to take orders: I live 20 feet away but had to stay home to wait for another delivery (drycleaning) . 5 minutes after I ordered i called to ask for a cup of ice to be added to my order, and the same girl who took my order said my order had already left! Salmon in 5 minutes? Whatever, I said ok and waited. 5 minutes later they had not arrived and since i live 20 feet away, I called again to ask her to be sure because there was no way they had left since they were not yet at my place. She said yes they HAD left. When I said why aren't they here then she said they must have had other orders to deliver before mine. Now why if I live 20 feets away would they deliver somewhere else, first? I then said I didn't want cold food, etc. (since they were going elsewhere first). After 5 more minutes I went there myself. Guess what? My food was just being wrapped and girl had totally BS'd me just cuz she was too lazy to add a cup of ice to the order. Or just didn't care! This after I called 2 times. When I asked her why she did that she said that my name sounded like someone else's, (after 2 times? ) There were no other orders going out with mine. Total BS and how lazy can one person be?? It is not like I asked for a souffle or anything. It was a lousy easy cup of ice. I was really p.o'd about this since I had to go there and pick it up myself after calling 2X. The delivery boy was very sweet, just the person who took the order. How rude!! I read other reviews and I have seen that many other people have complainted about this at Energy Kitchen , too. I will not order delivery again. Just pick up your food or order elsewhere. Also my steamed spinach was cold. And I asked for extra slaw under my salmon, and guess again? She didn't pass that along either!! It is too bad because the food is good but if they can't get people to take the order correctly or with any detail or service, then why order from them? Read other reviews and see how many times this phone taking stuff errors happen. some people wait one hour for their food.

    I just started ordering from EK, and am loving it so far. I really enjoyed the seared tuna salad -- it was refreshing, filling and only 270 calories -- and also quite liked their bison burger. I have something of a burger habit, so it's always a good idea to find some that aren't a bajillion calories, if I want to maintain my girlish figure. Delivery is pretty quick and it's definitely one of the cheaper places I order from. Will definitely be ordering again!

    Good food- just takes FOREVER

    love this place. i understand what they are trying to provide. good, healthy food. unfortunately, this location takes FOREVER. always takes a long time for lunch. and no remorse. EK is always in my rotation, i just need to go to a different area to get it. hopefully they will learn lunch doesn't take over an hour every single time!!!
