    A Must Eat

I'm not a fan of red meat, but the food here was incredible. I had the Beefsteak served with onions and fries and the meat was tender and full of flavor. The fries are atypical, almost a fusion between potatoes chips and fries making them uniquely delicious. My friend had a dish with a mix of meats including pork, steak, and chicken. The other had steak with potatoes and veggies. Everyone at my table was extremely--I think I can even say beyond--satisfied. And to top things off they serve endless portions of delicious white Brazilian rice and black beans. The side sauces also add a nice touch and can be poured over the rice, meat, just about anything. We all had a Caesar Salad as an appetizer and it may be the best Caesar I've had in a while. I had the traditional Brazilian drink which gets the thumbs up and my friends had the Brazilian beer that they became immediate fans of. Service was overall pleasant with a couple of longer wait times for the check and a drink, but there were 2 large parties there at the same time as we were, so I can't fully blame the server. If you're looking for excellent food in an intimate setting with friendly servers, you must go to Emporium Brasil. This restaurant has been added as a MUST DO on my frequent New York trips.

    Picky Eater

I found this restaurant through an online search and not knowing anyone who had been to this place before, I had to rely on the reviews. And let me tell you, the reviews were right on the money! The place is small to mid-size but cozy, the waiters & bartenders were very friendly and prompt. I am a very picky eater, but the food at Emporium Brasil was delicious! I really recommend Appetizer #46 - pork, chicken & shrimp. The empanadas were also very good. Their steaks were very good and their red snapper was just perfect! The Chocolate cake with condensed milk was great! Their flan was also very good - home made! The waiter recommended me a Brazilian soda, I tried it and ended up ordering 4 sodas through out the night (it is a mix of ginger ale & apple - very good!) As we were picking up our coats to leave, the bartender told us to try a Brazilian shot (forgot the name) on the house (it was 6 of us!) I definitely recommend this restaurant!

    Delicious...

The food was absolutely delicious. I had the red snapper which was very tender and almost melted in my mouth. My date had the "GOTTA TRY IT" steak entree, and that, too, was done perfectly (medium rare). The wait stuff was very friendly, very attentive. The sangria was slightly watered down, but full of fruit (which I love). The creme brulee was done perfectly. You must try this place - it was well worth the money!

    My Favorite Restaurant in NYC

This place is really unpretentious but still gives you a fine dining experience, with some Latin American mellowness. They make women dining alone feel comfortable, the mark of a truly good staff (lots of restaurants think single women don't tip well--a misconception). I noticed other women had discovered the same thing and that they too were getting attentive service. Found this place while I was walking by on a whim and discovered new flavors I didn't know existed--especially those combining shrimp with some kind of gourd or root vegetable. They don't skimp on the portions, either. Everything is hearty but fresh.

The best Brazilian place I've been to!

My friend who is a Brazilian citizen took me here while I was visiting NYC. It is amazing! It helped that my friend spoke Portuguese, so he knew how to order for me and himself, but I noticed that the service was incredible throughout. For example, one of the waiters continuously engaged in friendly conversation with a group of tourists who happened to find the restaurant while looking for a place to eat. And of course, the food was to die for. The appetizers, the meat, the complimentary bread and bruschetta, the picanha! Everything was so delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

    Great food

I love this place. A brazilian friend brought me here the first time I went and the food was great. When I went 2 months later my waiter remembered me! The service is very friendly and the prices aren't bad for NYC.

    Great cheap eats

Went with a Latin American friend who recommended it. Fantastic place for a spot of lunch. Very cheap, very quick, very tasty. Not a whole lot of atmosphere (at least at lunchtime), but friendly service.
