Best Value on UES
Great GM prawns and WT Soup! Service is abrupt but efficient. Worth trying.

So dissappointed
Im new to this area and so I decided to try this place out....im not super picky but the food was not good. I couldnt even finish the food. Terrible meat quality and the pork fried rice was really bad. Wont be ordering from here again.

Brown Gravy
I ordered beef/brocali to take out. Oh dear, disappointing. It was chewy beef in brown gravy. The best part of the meal was the rice... $11.00 with tax. Toast with butter would have tasted better.

Best Chinese in the ues. Very authentic food.

Cheap, passable, greasy.
good for after 11 when little else is open, not much else. bland and nondescript decor, average service, bland and nondescriptly greasy food, good value for prices. i'm not gonna specifically recommend dishes because literally everything here tastes the same.

My favorite Chinese delivery in all of NYC
I've been ordering from Empire Wok since before I even lived in the UES (my job is up here) and almost 2 years later I've yet to have a bad experience. Even my boss who's beyond picky was impressed when I made him order it. Never been inside but the delivery guy is sweet and personable, the people who answer the phone are pleasant and articulate, and the delivery is always prompt. And the food? Lean boneless spare ribs that are never too greasy, and I recommend to every single carb lover like myself to get the house lo mein but request it SPICY. One of my favorite foods in the world. The chicken they use for the Hunan Chicken that I also love is always perfect, no gristle. I love this place and recommend it to everyone, I'm sorry if there have been below par experiences from other people. And I've tried Chinese all over the city, Empire wins.
