    Good option for Vegetarians

In a neighborhood with few 'creative' options for vegetarians, Empire Szechuan has an expansive selection of 'mock' meats on their menu that are quite good; the vegetarian 'chicken' is my favorite. I usually order from here for takeout, and while the operator(s) can often be curt, overall the customer service is fine & efficient. The delivery time isn't bad, and the delivery guys are always friendly. The only criticism I have is their prices, for this neighborhood they are a bit pricey, though the portions are also large & you can easily make two meals out of one delivery.

What's going on with this resturant!

I made an order and the woman gets rude with me. Totally took away my appetite to even not eat or enjoy the food. I mean this happens every time I give a chance to this restaurant. The quality of the food changes and this is from someone who has ordered from more then 10 years. Will never order again.

    Food here is not good

Placed an order for delivery, ordered "thai chicken curry" but got chinese chicken curry. Order chicken fried rice, got fried rice with uncooked peas, they forgot my california rolls, called and request someone to redeliver it, but they were too busy, and said they would credit me next time. Never want to order from their again.

    Good ol asian food

For any asians living in the heights...Empire will be the closest thing to passing real (non-takeout type) asian food up here. I absolutely LOVE the beef noodle soup and the pork/mustard cabbage noodle soup. the bowl is GIGANTIC and i LOVE soup. They also take the time to stir fry the pork b/f putting it into the soup so its extra flavorful. Their soup is always extra flavorful (salty) so I pour 2 glasses of water into it and then its perfect (and more soup!) ! Their service is ridiculously slow, but they're always nice! Also if you order 10+ you can choose the wontons in sechuan sauce...O.M.G. haha wontons swimming in melted peanut butter, soy sauce, and just a little bit of spiciness is AMAZING. when i get takeout, I always order the wonton soup so i can dip my wontons in the peanut butter sauce. I love this place, but be sure you allot enough time for the slow service!

    Best Sesame Noodles!!

We order from Empire all the time--at least once a week. I'm obsessed with the cold sesame noodles, which they give you free if you order more than $10. Food's always tasty, hot, and the right order.

    Switcheroo Palooza

Have ordered for Empire for over a year and every time there is a mysterious extra $1 or $2 added under the guise of another drink that's never included. Their prawns are regular-ole shrimp, seafood for the sushi is in mid defrosting stage, Pad thai noodles are hard/uncooked - and on and on. But if you want sub-par, unauthentic overpriced food - EMPIRE will live up to your dreams and more.

    ok lets try this again

It has been awhile because I was annoyed with them for skimping on the meats and rude service, but I thought to myself ok let's try this again. I Placed my order 7:24 pm Sat. Night and the phone lady was lovely, clear, articulate and polite. She even reminded me of the free b's that I qualified for noodles, sushi and or sodas with orders over ten dollars. I ordered Dumplings, Sw and Sour Pork, Chow fun with Shrimp, side order of roast pork and Ginger Chicken Shrimp duet. So now we wait...BRB... 7:48 Dinner's here, and with the exception of forgetting the roast pork everything looks great. Called about the roast pork and she insisted on sending it right over. 8:00 pm on a saturday night friends and family are enjoying their food and all in all I would WELCOME BACK cause I missed quality food in the heights. KEEP IT UP PLEASE!
