    Good

I really enjoy this place. I have been several times and ordered delivery once. They were very prompt. I feel you get your money's worth here. I recommend.

    Not that great...

The first time I ordered from this place it was ok. The delivery is very prompt, but the food is disapointing. I gave it another shot a couple of weeks later and it was not to my liking again. Not my favorite in the city and I definitley will not repeat.

Good but not accommodating re seating

The food here is good and the servers are efficient and relatively nice. I don't think it's too overpriced and I love the fact they are open really late. So, I'm in there a lot. Problem is, they close the back room by 9PM (even though they close at 1:30am) and they stick everyone in the front room where it's freezing cold (near the door) and people are sitting on top of each other. I've worked in at least twice where the front room was packed and them made me sit at the sushi bar. I can see closing the back room an hour or even two hours before closing, or if it's not busy, but when it's packed and 4 hours before closing on a freezing night, why must we sit on top of each other and the door? It's really not the way to run a place. So, I agree with Diamat's comment below about requesting the back room but ya can't depending on when you show up. Also, I noticed that the serving sizes have become a bit smaller lately but the food is good.

    My order was never delivered

I order(ED) from this restaurant once a week for the past few months. Food was fine, and I could order online, so it was "easy." The last time I ordered from here, it took them THREE deliveries to get my order right. And they hung up on me 2x when I called to explain that my order was wrong. I decided to give them another chance, and ordered from them tonight, online. All my info is in their system already because of my frequent ordering. An hour and a half went by, and I call ed to find out where my order was and I was told it was on it's way. Another 20 minutes later, I called again and they tell me there IS no order for this address. In my opinion, restaurants can't afford to screw up like this, in NYC. I will never order from here again...btw, its almost 1030pm on a Fri night and I have yet to eat dinner.

Good food, but not a romantic venue

Empire Szechuan Kyoto is to be thoroughly recommended for a quick mid-week supper after work. A long menu features good sushi, a strong vegetarian selection, all the usual Japanese standards, and some interesting Chinese specials. I can't fault the food or the price, which is definitely a bargain for UWS. Don't expect much from the decor, and definitely ask for a table out the back. The overlit, soulless front room will put you off your excellent dinner.

Great chinese food outside of chinatown

This is a great place for takeout/delivery. Food is always excellent, even the rice. Also great vegetarian meat dishes, bubble drinks, fried banana dessert. If you can't order from chinatown, no worries- this is pretty awesome.
