Empire Szechuan Kyoto

I live in the neighborhood and have given this place several chances, both at the restaurant and for delivery. I cannot believe such poor service still exists in NYC and they have not run out of business yet. The food is classic and cheap, and the sushis are rather good, though overpriced. But the service is so poor, with people barely speaking english and having rude attitude....you just can't believe to be "treated" with so little care. Only go if you are starving and cannot find anything around.

You would think in a service business they'd be friendlier....but no. The food is average. Service is extrememly rude...

I saw all the reivews saying how rude this place was, but I ignored them cause it was the only place I could charge my lunch over the phone and get chinese food in the area. When I called the women yelled at me because I asked nicely if I could get mix of white and fried rice. Then when she had all my info and I was asking how much it would cost, how long it would be, etc etc, she hung up on me! But pretty decent food. P.S. The delivery boy was rude as well and had super long fingernails... and there was schrimp in my egg roll which i've never seen in all my years of egg role eatting, but theyre easy to spot so pick them out!

I travel alot from upstate ny and go there everytime I am leaving to take food home with me so that I would not have to cook, for a couple of days. The vegetarian beef and brocc is really good even my daughter loves it and she does eat meat. The service is ok, but the thing I don't like is that they don't have any space for people to sit for take out and it seems like everything and even everyone is smooched together so I usually never eat in. The casheir is kind of rude but like I said I am only visiting and so she does not bother me that much.

the cool thing about this place is that they're open late. the delivery is usually quick, but the people taking the orders are not usually nice people. but hey, that doesn't bother me too much. the food is good,

I have been to this restaurant several times because they serve tapioca smoothies, which are hard to find in New York. Every time I have been the owner and the woman running the cash register have been incredibly rude and unprofessional. They are not consistent with their payment policies and treat me with no respect when I cannot guess what it will be that day. I would hugely suggest taking your business elsewhere to a place that has better food, prices and customer service.

I really enjoy this place. I have been several times and ordered delivery once. They were very prompt. I feel you get your money's worth here. I recommend.
