Beware: They are closed for renovations over the summer
I work around the corner and have been coming here for two years. I love the bagels and tofu cream cheese. The guys who work there are also friendly, even if they are rushed in the mornings. Just beware that there is a sign on the door saying they are closed for renovations for the summer. So sad.

Very disappointing breakfast
I know this had to be a mistake. theres no way you can make a pancake deluxe meal taste that bad. something mustve been on the grill cause all the food had the same nasty taste. I shouldnt have had to live through that. I pay taxes. lol... but seriously it was bad.

Quick, Cheap, and Good
For a quick slice of pizza, bagel, etc.. it is very convenient and you get your money's worth. They accept credit card orders over 8.00 and for myself I have a hard time even reaching that and normally have to add on an extra drink...

Surprisingly Good Bagels
I have to admit I had walked past this place for over a year before i ordered a bagel here. I mean...how good could they be considering this place serves pizza, burgers, etc...But I must say the bagels here are PERFECT. Chewy on the outside, moist and dense on the inside. Service is not the greatest but they try.

Great Spot
Empire is great. I work around the corner and I've never had a bad meal. The prices are better than the other places in the area and the food is better too. Great sausage egg and cheese!

Great find!
The bagels and muffins at Empire are incredibly tasty and relatively inexpensive for NYC. The reason they have delivery issues is because they are incredibly understaffed, my only gripe about the place. Try calling at 9 am -- one person has to take in-store orders, phone orders, and prepare the order. If not for penny-pinching management, this place would be among the top ten bagel places in the city.
