Olmeca Altos Blanco born out of a collaboration between london bartenders dre masso and henry besant (r.i.p) with master distiller jesus hernandez, this dram hails from arandas in the los altos region of jalisco. the agave used to produce this spirit is first roasted in a brick oven, and then milled with a stone tahona wheel before fermentation. this time consuming process ends with smallbatch copper pot distillation. to date, olmeca altos is one of only a handful of brands to still employ the tahona. we believe the attention detail and use of old school techniques yields truly special results with notes of ripe agave, fresh herbs, and faint citrus. salud.
