When we arrived, there was a wait. We agreed to sit at the counter & get drinks while we waited for a table but made it clear that we wanted to actually eat our meal at a table. Still, the waitstaff kind of pressured us to order at the counter but we stuck to our guns & waited them out. Finally a table opened. We ordered our food -empanadas & a salad - oh, they were out of a few of the items we wanted, but whatever - and waited. The group of 6 to our right got food. The group to our left, which sat down 20 minutes after us, got THEIR food. Finally we asked a busboy where our food was. They LOST our order - and the staff didn't wonder why we were sitting there with no food for an hour! (there are only 5 tables in there!) They apologized with a free plate of rice. So OK, we ordered again - and our food came out in this order: empanadas, salad, then one lone empanada. ??? When the bill came, they had charged us for an order of guacamole that we were encouraged to order with our chips, but which we didn't order or get! Forget about anybody bringing or refilling the water without flagging them down, or anyone asking how your food was, or did you want another drink. I will certainly not be heading back there and I strongly discourage others from eating there. Too bad, because it looked like a fun place!

Very tasty empanadas but I find that oven baked crust to be a bit tough. I would definitely recommend ordering the arepa with chicken and cheese. That was so delicious.

I love empanadas, so when this place opened up about two years ago, I rushed out to try them. I was not dissapointed, everything was really delishious. The place may not be that fancy, don't go there looking for a cozy atmosphere - but the cheap yummy food more than makes up for it!

I love this place. I live in the neighborhood and order in and pick up a lot. I never get sick of it. The guac and chips are excellent. I've never tried anything other than the deserts or empanada's. I always mean to but the empanada's are too delicious to pass up. Especially when they come fresh and hot. My favorites: Hawaiin, Cheesesteak and the Chicken (with some of the green sauce.) You can't really go wrong here whether you are ordering in or eating at their small but colorfol cave.

I have had empanadas delivered a few times. They are always bagged and labeled AND tasty. Not your abuelita's empanadas but not bad, either. I would pass on the cafe con leche, though---very bland.

Delicious Empanadas (especially love the spinach and cheese and the guava/cheese dessert empanada). However, poor service both for sit down and delivery. I live a block away and it has taken them over an hour to deliver 2 empanadas.

I can't believe that I have never gone into this place until today! I had the spicy chicken empanada (soooo good, especially with some of the hot sauce they give you), and a chocolate banana empanada (one of their dessert choices). That chocolate banana one was AMAZING. The prices are about $2.50/each which some people may complain is a lot, but its NYC; nothing comes super cheap. I definitely will be going back often!
