    Not recommended

This was an overpriced disappointment from start to finish. I read the reviews but a friend planned it and I went along with an open mind. The only thing opened was my wallet to pay for the ridiculously small servings of wine that came with a premium price. Food portions were as small as the wine ordered. I wanted to write this review and I found out that on Monday nights they offer 50% off bottles of wine and this was never brought to our attention by the waiter as he served us the ridiculously overpriced small glasses of wine - with 3 of us drinking, it really padded the bill. Listen to the reviews and take your money elsewhere.

    Don't bother

If you like slow service and cold food Elsewhere is the ideal place for you. Mac n cheese came luke warm -- sent it back only to have it nuked with the cheese texture now killed. Owner did stop by and did the classy thing -- took off the bill. Service is very slow. Had theater, so by the time we were offered dessert had to pass up since we'd never get out. But did get coffee -- luke warm before the milk was added! Didn;t bother complaining because we didn;t have another 20 minutes to wait. We will dine elsewhere next time we have theater -- not Elsewhere

    Loved it!

My boyfriend and I went here for a quick brunch. The food was pretty great (I got pancakes and he got the mac & cheese with chorizo crumble) and he loved the spiced maple milkshake with applejack spike so much! I had it too and it was delicious. Nice place, a bit expensive (but whats new in NY?), but I would def. go back and recommend it to others.

    Great Find

I was actually reluctant to go here because of some of the negative reviews, but the menu looked great. I thought the food was fantastic, the atmosphere in the garden relaxing, and service attentive and insightful. It was a great date spot and would definitely go back many times. It is worth trying!

    Won't be back

The service was fine, but my friend's pancakes were undercooked, and my quiche was inedible----full of crunchy, kosher salt granules! The waiter was very nice, but there's no making up for the food......

    Almost

I agree with much of the below. The place is quite pricey and while the food is interesting, it often comes out lukewarm. In the two times I've been there, half a dish will taste cold compared to the well-heated other parts. I know it is hard to make sophisticated flavors to order, but they need to do a better job of getting the dishes to fire on all cylinders. Delicious Pinot G by the glass, and very attentive service but a down to earth staff. So close to being a great place.
