    Best...

I went to the Stardust Diner on a trip to NYC for BPA. I come from a little hick town in Texas, so anything in New York is going to be fabulous to me. But the Cookies and Cream Milkshake was the best I've ever had.

    Good Food, Too busy

My mom, sister, and I went there this past weekend. It was packed. Almost too crowded to enjoy because there was too much going on. The singing waiters and waitresses were excellent. The food was excellent however, pricey. We hardly saw our waitress and she didn't even bring out our food. My mom got coffee and had to keep asking for a refill and probably had to ask 5 times. When they brought a refill, it was less than half full. The servings of food were big however, expensive. I also did not like how they passed around a tip bucket for the wait staff for their "singing and dancing lessons". I did enjoy the entertainment however, it was sometimes too much when I just wanted to eat my dinner. Everyone was friendly though.

    Loved It!

Me and my boyfriend went in for breakfast one day, the waitress in 50's clothes seated us and brought us drinks. the breakfast was cheap and lovely. they servers all sang in there turn and were extremely friendly, my coffee cup was never empty. when the bill came we were pleasently surprised at how little the meal had ost so tipped more than usual. my boyfriend isnt into all singin all dancing places but loved this place as much as me. id definatly return when im back in NYC.

Only the Servers were Singing Praises

BREAKFAST - Well, what would you expect from a place right near Times Square? Yes, it looks like fun, 1950's style, like Happy Days, the female servers have Poodle Skirts and yes, one of the servers are always singing. That's why I gave this place 4.5 for atmosphere. But, I was there for the food too. It was cold, and overpriced. The server takes the order, then takes off. And let's hope your server is not singing when you need more coffee! This is the sort of place you try once. Been there, done that, move on.

    lotsa fun

This place is loads of fun. The wait staff are actually talented singers who break out in song at unexpected times. The music and theme are retro 50's - 60's.The food is not bad at all. The place is very busy so it's best to go for a late breakfast or lunch. Prices are reasonable for New York particularly when you consider the location. Reservations are not necessary but if your in a hurry you may not be happy.

    Great place if you're hungry

I would have probably given this place a much higher rating if I had only eaten a larger breakfast. But when your husband orders oatmeal, bagel and juice and you order raisin bran and juice and the bill is over $25--well..... Now, folks on either side were eating what appeared to be large, delicious breakfasts. So, my advice is go there hungry and eat a large meal. They also do not substitute anything on the menu such as: ordering a single egg on the side. The atmosphere is great and the waiters/waitresses are really talented and enjoyable singers. I would try this place again.

    Eh...

First of all the food was excellent. Thanksgiving day, the place was absolutely packed, and the food was still good. We arrived three hours before our reservation time, and were seated immendiately. Food was at our table in less than ten minutes. It was down hill from there. My wife's drink arrived 50 minutes after ordering, and it was the wrong drink. In that 50 minutes we saw our waiter once. All of the server's seemed more interested in singing than in doing their jobs. The party next to us actually had the same waiter arguing with them over what they ordered, who then brought them cold food, and 18% gratuity is automatically added to their bill? All in all, don't take the chance, unless you've got them time and the extra dollars it will cost you to eat here.
