Only ok
I knew there would be singing but no by so many wanna-be's. The food is ok, nothing like other diners I visited. I particularly take exception to a bucket being passed around to fund "singing/acting lessons" etc. That's what a tip is for, you're just stinging customers twice. Wouldn't go back, wouldn't particularly recommend.

Subpar
Just don't. Awful awful food. 15 minutes to get a drink. Loud loud singing. Just don't.

Amazing Entertainment and Good Food
The food isn't amazing, but the servers are! If you're looking for an entertaining meal, Stardust is the place. The waiters and waitresses are incredible singers waiting for their chance to star on Broadway. Honestly, some of these servers are far better than the stars on Broadway now.

Just Don't
It takes more than distributing menus and a bill to qualify as a restaurant. If you have any taste whatsoever, the experience will be torture from start to finish.

Broadway Talent Plus Food
Ellen's Diner is Amazing! Great Broadway talent (they're mostly between gigs on stage) serving excellent value food in NYC. Close to Times Square... convenient to all tourist attractions. I've lived in NYC and still appreciate this Diner. The wait staff is friendly with customers and helpful to each other. Don't plan this to be a 'quick' food stop - you'll get distracted and be late for your next destination. We had a wonderful brunch and wanted to stretch it out for as long as possible!

I know better...
I know better than to go to a place like this - it's an overpriced tourist trap close to Times Square. Although the concept is fun - the staff sings karaoke every once in a while, but the food is bad. The corned beef hash was inedible and literally looked like a pile of slop on the plate. My server was nice, but there was so much going on that it took her 10 minutes just to bring the check. In a city like NY, there are much better places to have breakfast!

Broadway Fun at Your Table
The talent is theater quality and you get to talk with the entertainers at your table. The food is good diner quality fare but the entertainment value is terrific. Cheaper than a show but just as good. We have been there twice and will continue to take visiting friends for an excellent time. Many of the wait staff will eventually make it on Broadway. The Martini's are terrific too.
