I consider myself an all-purpose eater, open to just about any kind of restaurant. The only ones I tend to shy away from are "health food" places: in a distressing number of cases, they are pretentiously earnest, serve mediocre food, and offer No (gasp) Wine. Ellary's Greens is light years away from the above description. It is cozy and warm, and the food is pretty fabulous; my chicken salad with hazelnuts, capers, red onion, and lemon confit was not only delicious, but had a wonderful array of textures. There seems to be a really good choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well. And they have (TGIF) a very nice and reasonable wine list. I would not hesitate to take even my high-foodie friends here. Definitely worth a try.

This restaurant has an excellent selection of healthier options, including several that are vegetarian or vegan. I've had almost everything on the menu at this point, and I've brought many people here who do not usually eat this type of food, and they've all raved about it! Standout dishes are the artichoke panini, cajun shrimp, yukon mashed potatoes (dairy free), the smoked deviled eggs are also great. Definitely try their raw chocolate mousse dessert! It's really unusual and delicious (and also vegan and healthy!). They have a great smoothie and fresh juice bar -- the "ellarys greens" juice is my favorite.

What a refreshing experience! We shared everything so we were able to try a lot and everything was delicious. It was so nice to be able to share a big meal out with friends without breaking the bank OR the scale. The menu was unique and interesting. The shrimp & black eyed peas were our favorite. We will definitely be back. It was great to be able to eat such wonderful food without waiting months for a reservation!
