Great find, great food, great service, lovely outdoor table

I live and work in the neighborhood, but for some reason I keep passing this place by. I stopped in tonight, wanting to dine outdoors on such a lovely summer night. The hosts were very charming and accommodating; we didn't have to wait a minute for an outdoor table, despite a full restaurant (and no reservation). Our waitress was prompt, kind and lovely. Even the backwaiters and runners made an impression - they were all very sweet and professional. Dinner was a beet salad with truffled goat cheese mousse (delicious) followed by a really nice scallop dish. Scallops were perfectly cooked, although the sauce was a bit sweet (for my taste). They came with a very generous helping of arugula salad and sauteed cauliflower. A very tasty dinner and a lovely experience, I will definitely return.

    great time

I am surprised by the bad reviews! Went here for a birthday party and I really like the drinks and food. I had a martini with pop rocks in it and it was great! I shared the beet salad with a friend and ordered the seared scallops which I thought were just very tasty! The only negative--The sauce on the side was slightly too sweet for my taste, but since it was on the side I just used half of it. Atmosphere was great and our waiter was an absolute doll.

    Subpar

Food was inedible, service ok, atmosphere the best aspect. Would never go back. Very expensive for subpar food, a poor value.

I loved the experience on Valentines!

The atmosphere was very chill and beautiful. The fire place is nice and the color tones perfect. Yes the prices are definately manahattan prices, but mondays pre fix dinner with drink is only 25. Can't beat it. OUr server was very knowledgeble and attentive.

    Don't go

Poor service, basically inedible food and ok atmopshere add up to a "don't even bother going" rating my book. This place acts like they offer fun food options and a laid-back vibe, when in fact, they offer over-priced food and service that could be beat by most lounge/restaurants in the area. If you are looking for a fun night out with friends, don't buy the Website B.S. - this place is not it.

    bait and switch

went in the begining, food and drinks were slow but so darn good and place was packed with hotties. went last week and felt like I was in a diff. resto, higher prices, bad food, bad drinks, but faster service!!!! another nyc joke

    Birthday celebration at Elizabeth

We dined at Elizabeth to celebrate a birthday. There is nothing to really complain about. We were greeted by a friendly hostess, seated promptly, and our water and drink orders immediately taken. All questions we had about the menu were gladly and accurately answered. Appetizers of mackerel and a tuna and avocado salad were delicious, as were main courses of black bass and pork with apples. A side dish of cheese sliders was buttery and tasty. We shared a dessert of "rice krispy treats" which was brought to our table with a lit birthday candle. Espresso and cappuccino were a perfect finish. Although a little pricey, the neighborhood, quality of the restaurant, and the fact that we walked out feeling great, made dining at Elizabeth a worthwhile experience. We wish this new restaurant much success.
