Authentic and Cheap!
I love Elisa Cafe. It is run by Dominicans and Puerto Ricans in a mostly black neighborhood, and the dynamic between customers and employees alternates between tense and jovial in the small, cramped interior. I could see how some people wouldn't love the atmosphere, but I get a kick out of it. You can't beat the $4 platter of eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, and coffee. Just be sure you tell them if you'd like some coffee with your cup of sugar!

The food is good, the people are really nice. I love this place! The coffee is subpar though.

Latin Hospitality
The food may not be gourmet - but it is tasty and plentiful. Whether eat in or take out - the service is always pleasant and welcoming - Latin Style.
