Delicious!
Have been to Elia 3 times, and each time my meal has been delicious. Wood floors and exposed beams give the feel of a taverna, candles in the evening give a glowing ambience, service is wonderful, food never fails. First visit was for a large group to celebrate a birthday. One of our guests, having trouble finding the resto, walked into an Italian place nearby to ask directions - they told me that when they asked the waitress if she knew where Elia was, she exclaimed "I wish I was over there!" before pointing them in the right direction. Starters like pikilia, an assortment of spreads, and a grilled octopus salad, were better than I'd had elsewhere, incredibly fresh, tasty, & artfully presented. Whole grilled fish entrees and enormous veal chops were superbly done, everyone had enough to eat and barely had room for dessert. In summer, eat out back, in the garden - lovely ambience, and they won't rush you. Though not cheap, prices we felt were still great, considering the quality, good portion sizes, and service. This is a great place for a couple or a group, something a bit more special than the average restaurant.
