    Best Baked Ziti ever

My roomate introduced me to this place last week and I can't stop talking about how good the baked ziti was. I tried everyone's food and it was great, but seriously best baked ziti ever! I 'm from Florida and it's taken me a while to find a place in NYC that has good baked ziti...and I found it!

    Reliable

I've been eating here for over a year and while the food isn't fantastic, it's very good, especially for the prices. The owner is a very nice guy, but it does take a while for food to be prepared. I definately recommend 11B, especially for people who want a cheap meal.

ok place, ok service, charged too much

went for lunch yesterday. only our table and 1 other. we had 2 small personal pizzas, a sandwich and 2 cokes. somehow the bill came to $39. we were in too much a hurry to dispute thoroughly but we were told it's "more or less right". we were definitely overcharged compared to the menu prices. food was ok, there is definitely much better food to be had. service was slow.

    Great for a quick bite

I've lived on Avenue B for years and watched dozens of mediocre Italian places come and go. This one is good. It's not fantastic, but they make a good pizza and calzone.

    Questionable

Went in because I saw it was empty and I needed a quick meal. My order of a plain arugula salad and eggplant parm sandwich took more than 30 minutes to come out. The cheese and the greens definitely were far from fresh, and the sauce on the parm was different and not necessarily in a good way. The food just doesn't settle right, either, (and this from a guy who thinks the spicier the better). The owner definitely was a nice, personable guy and attentive, but I'll be lookin for better quick meals in the future.

    Mediocre pizza

The pizza (via delivery) had what seemed to be canned mushrooms. The crust was bready and tasteless - reminded me of mazoh. Not terrible, but not my idea of good pizza.

    mixed

Tried this out tonight because of the fantastic reviews. The ingredients were very fresh, we especially liked the ricotta cheese and the cold antipasto appetizer. The owner is friendly and service and atmosphere good, except the place was totally empty - only one other party! The pizza dough was a disappointment - flavorless, neither chewy nor crispy. If I go back, I'll stay away from the pizza and go for one of the specials - one of us had the lasagna, which was good. It was also quite a cheap meal, especially since they serve no alcoholic drinks.
