Expensive Food Court with lot's of Good booze

Have eaten at ETB 2 X and found the food to be singularly mediocre and over-priced. The place has a lot of good (and expensive) Tequilas but so do many places with better food. The service is adequate. Not sure why in a city with so much good food and now good Mexican fare, people get excited about this place? Then again people go to Dominos in NY too so go figure. I won't be returning for a 3rd try at El Toro Blanco.

A real mixed bag - very uneven

three of us ate here for an early dinner the other night. We found the drinks to be pretentiously expensive, and the food very uneven. When it's good, like the pizza-like appetizer or the shrimp enchiladas, both of which were very flavorful, it's great, but several dishes we ordered didn't make the cut, were dried out or tasteless, rather than flavorful. We specifically asked that they not be spicy, yet they arrived at the table way too spicy for out palates. Several selections didn't make the grade at all, like the swordfish tacos and the mixed pork dish.which our group found tasteless, dried out, and over-cooked. You seem to need to know just what to try and what not to order.

Get To The Tequila Doctor, Stat: El Toro Blanco

If you're as into margaritas and Mexican cuisine as I am, then you should check out El Toro Blanco in the West Village.  Chic, cozy, and with a bit of dimly lit sass, this restaurant is taking their margaritas pretty seriously. And a good thing too, because I surely do love a margarita. I sat at the bar, mainly for drinks, and a snack to go with it.

    worth a return visit

Have eaten here twice, and both times the food was delicious and the service attentive. I'm not a guacamole eater, but the others in our party loved it and got a second bowl. We shared an assortment of tacos and the short rib empanadas, and my shrimp dish was terrific. The place has a great vibe, even for an older guy like me.

    el toro malo

Authentic Mex is in style and so another overpriced, overhyped no-flavor tourist craptrap. The food is leadened, and just off. The crowd is bawdy obnoxious. I hope a mexican food truck pulls up in front o f this place and takes them to school. Toro Blanco is about commercialism not about dining food, good taste or even a watering hole. Tried this place with a part of 5 and nobody left wanting to return. Nuff said.

    Love It!

I've been here a few times since they opened and I have had a great meal every time! I love their guacamole. Now the weather is nice they have outdoor seating, it's a perfect place to hang out. Definitely recommend.

    Tiny tacos. I mean tiny

I ordered the beef tacos as my meal. They were very good but the waiter didn't tell me they are the tiniest tacos known to humankind. Delicious but more a finger food than a meal meal. Waited very long for our tiny meals and service was super sub-par. Had to ask for everything. Like a beer refill, more chips, etc. Constant flagging down the guy and it wasn't close to a full restaurant.
