Addicted
I have been going to Rio for years since my roomate introduced me. It is the best tex-mex in NYC. Now we have to go at least once a week for our enchiladas! The margaritas are also great. I love the sitting outside in the summer here. They were also willing to deliver our food to Bryant Park a few weeks ago....the best!

Great, But
I was there with my BF Eric K, and we had the pitcher of margaritas, and the empanadas. Food/Drink was great, but the service was no good, as was the price. Not a good way to treat people. I dont think i will be going back

Good Stuff
1. Steak Nachos might be the best thing I've ever eaten 2. Margaritas are great 3. Burritos are pretty good as well but kind of fall apart when you eat them, which I consider somewhat of a downfall 4. Service is usually quite good. 5. Portions are good size, I've never left hungry 6. Chips & Salsa/Green sauce are awesome

Great Experience!
We went there on Mother's day with my in-laws and despite the fact the place was super crowded, we were very happy with our food and our server. Mole Poblano by far the best! The portions are pretty big. Will definitely recommend it!

Great Combo Empanada
I ordered delivery today, got the "Combo Empanada" lunch special, and let me teeeeelllll YOU, it was SO yummy! As a Mexicana in NYC it is very difficult to find a good, authentic-tasting (not Tex-Mex or Cali-Mex or any other pseudo-Mex) Mexican food place. The 4 empanadas came neatly arranged on a bed of vegetables, and together were all resting on a beautiful pool of half-green(omg was this green sauce good!), half-red sauce, all topped with fresh "queso fresco". A little pricey for lunch specials, but for about $13 with tip, I was completely satisfied and won't be eating until dinner, and very much worth it once in a while! I will definitely be trying this place out in person!

Attitude Adjustment Needed
I have been going to El Rio Grande for many years. While the quality of the food has improved over the last year or two, the attitude has not....just try walking in without a reservation! No need for rudeness. And, the poor harried waiter (s)...I think there is more than one...service is not good. But, the food is better than many Tex-Mex restaurants in NYC. If they could just get the desk and the service right.

whoa to the price raise!
i just got back from rio (which used to be my favorite restaurant in the city) and i was SHOCKED when i got my bill and realized they've raised the prices of their margarita pitchers from $26 to $40! sad that this great, affordable place has become like everyone other "trendy" mexican restaurant!
